Ah, that's great! He really can. The first time I saw them I'd only heard 'and then nothing...' which by their standards is pretty downbeat, so I was expecting more ballads and calm songs, but Ira just got up on stage and guitar solo' ed for what seemed like hours. I was impressed, but didn't enjoy it that much. The second time it was awesome, I was standing next to Marcus (from our group) and it was so great, the music seemed so thick, it filled my whole head. I also met them beforehand, because they were doing a signing. I have 'I can hear the heart' signed by them all.

Cloud Cult! One of my friends once made me a mix with "Purpose" on it, I still love that song.

I don't know if I've ever been as immediately captivated by any other song... the first time I heard that song it was UNREAL.

Once you're finished on the radio, maybe you'd be interested in listening to one of my favourite albums ever. You can find it here. Julian Koster sings backing on a couple of tracks. It also happens to be the most beautiful thing I've ever heard.

(I've never actually heard Mogwai at all before, but I really like those two song names... enlighten me!)

Haha, yes. Also: Does that Mogwai album with "Yes! I Am A Long Way From Home" also have "Mogwai Fear Satan" / would you recommend it?

Also, sorry about that "BIG jam session" thing... it's like an inside joke for it's all nice on ice. It started a few weeks ago on the Modest Mouse shoutbox as something Bloc deemed a "micromeme", and it's just been coming up every now and then since. I even made a couple of memes to go with it a few weeks ago: this and this. Didn't mean to be too weird there, sorry! But seriously, it's good to have you with us. I've missed you.

... by Cap'n Jazz for something really rough but awesome (only if you don't mind screamy-vocals, as it's pretty intense in some spots), and Diary by Sunny Day Real Estate for something old (but still pretty rough in spots), and Owen for something much more calm and sweet. These are pretty terrible descriptions, but I'd still recommend them (especially American Football and Owen).

Hey. I miss you too, Sarah. How have you been? I've been pretty good, though this week has been rather long and stressful. I've just been so busy all of a sudden, and on top of that we had our second major Physics test yesterday. Luckily it seemed to go really well though, so I'm much less stressed right now, haha... and it's the weekend! So all is well. How's school going? And how were Built to Spill?! About what I've been listening to... it's hard to describe. I started getting really into this one band (I forget which one started it though, it just happened so fast), which quickly led to another and then another and so on, until now, when I've basically just dived into a whole new genre. As far as what I'd recommend... hm. Try American Football by American Football, maybe, I think you might like it. Also Analphabetapolothology...

And sorry I didn't get to talk with you this week, I tried to avoid giving your DJ a headache this time... though I hoped we would still connect through my request! ...which turned out to be a different song, haha. But it was still fun to hear!

Ehhhhhh. I think your DJ thought I had the wrong number/ was high/ was insane, or a combination of the three. But after all the commotion, it was so nice to talk with you!
