I was from Maine, and then we moved to Wisconsin last year. But I came back to Maine for college, and now we're in the process of moving back here. It's confusing.

Are you driving back to Austin? [howevermanymilesittakestogetfromneworleanstoaustin] is a REAL LONG drive in a car.

I'm just joking, it's totally understandable! You're still a little awesome, I guess.

Usually I have my mommy with me to hold my hand and to hug me when I get scared... haha.

I have a final each on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and then I leave Friday morning. I'm really nervous because it's the first time I'll be flying by myself and I'll have to be responsible for getting up in time to catch a bus to the airport really early in the morning... but I suppose the excitement of leaving for break outweighs the anxiety! I can't wait to be home.

...though as it is now the movement names/orders are incorrect. But I suppose that's not going to be a problem for you, haha.

Also, I've already recommended it a few times to various people this week, but I can't stress the importance of this enough. You should definitely listen to it!

Sure! They're amazing. You can download them all for free through archive.org (or, at least the ones that I have so far)... but you might have to jump through some rather annoying hoops to convert them to the right file types, etc. So I could just send you those too, which would probably be easier.

It's so good to see you listening to Yanqui U.X.O. so much. I just ripped digital files from the vinyl version (which is just slightly different) this past week... once I get home I'll upload and send them to you, if you want! When do you get to go home for break?

Aww, that's okay. Sorry to hear you have so much work. But yes, definitely let me know about your show next semester! I can't wait.

This really wasn't at all what I was expecting, but I'm actually really enjoying it (half as a result of it being entirely different to almost anything I've listened to before, and half because it's actually really good). Chain of Missing Links is definitely my favourite on this album so far, the voice sample is pretty amazing. Reminds me of Blood On The Motorway by DJ Shadow, which is an incredible song. Thanks again for recommending this, it's definitely something I'd listen to again!

Thanks Sarah, I intend to listen to The Way Out as soon as possible. I've heard a cover of Cello Song by Nick Drake they recorded for the Dark Was The Night compilation album, along with Jose Gonzalez, which was really beautiful, judging by that, I'll like them. I'll definitely get back to you about it, and tell you what I think. Thanks again.

Yeah! Congratulations, DJ LaPotin. Do you mind if I call in this week to celebrate your last show as an apprentice?

VV Also, I love that movie! Or I used to, anyway. Count Olaf looks like an ever-so-slightly scarier version of my old french teacher.

I want to hitchhike to Austin to see Mogwai in May, because no good bands come to Wisconsin and no bands come to Maine at all.

Also, I'm still glad to see you're enjoying Owen. A few weeks ago I made the mistake of listening to his first album in a public place... I actually started to tear up, to the point where I had to go into the bathroom to pull myself together.

It's stupid that I still haven't listened to them, but if you were going to listen to Sigur Rós for the first time, where would you start?

And yes, Boards of Canada! One of my classmates let me borrow "Music Has The Right To Children" the night before the AP Calculus test last year, which I enjoyed but was almost 2deep4me at the time. I played it when I got home from school the day before the test, and it was like nothing I had ever heard before... though, admittedly, not necessarily in a good way. But then it sort of manifested in my mind for the rest of the night and while I slept. I was a pretty good math student anyway, but I'd like to think it was that album that subconsciously put me into a trance-like state of mind to be ready for the test. Like deep, hypnotic focus. I can't describe it. But I really love it now! I need to hear Geogaddi as soon as I possibly can.
