A bit about my life: I went to this zoological park near the Sababurg today. It's been around for some centuries, it's pretty, and it's near the Sababurg, which allegedly is where the Sleeping Beauty slept. *
Going there involves driving for quite some time through very beautiful scenery which at the moment is full of colourful leaves and golden sunlight and apples everywhere - I live on apples these days. I love autumn.
I also love Casey Dienel (who incidentally also loves autumn) and I consider her music rather fitting for autumn, too, so I took her CD with me and made my mom and my cousin listen to it. [For the record: My mom likes her, my cousin doesn't. But he's six, so there's still some hope. ;)]
To get to the point: Wind-Up Canary is the ultimate autumn album. And you probably won't realize the brilliance of it completely if you don't enjoy it in an autumnal setting.
So grab your discman and go for a walk somewhere pretty.
I think I'll do that again tomorrow. And I'll try to find out why exactly I consider it to be perfect autumn music because I'm not sure. It might be linked to the fact that it makes me feel wonderfully warm on the inside. And also that it's so beautiful.
Songs I discovered on that album and never really paid attention to before: Stationary and All or Nothing. Why did I never notice they were so good?
* The Brothers Grimm's version of the Sleeping Beauty anyway. And you can marry there today. And eat food for lots of money. Or both.
