New Free Tracks
==========

As always, free music abounds from Tru Thoughts Towers, but this month it’s double tunes as there’s a current track and a classic track up for grabs.
The newie is the killer instrumental cut of “Supersossego”. The vocal cut appeared on Saravah Soul's self-titled debut album. Click here to download this stomping Samba-fuelled dancefloor bomb.
The classic track is “Running From Love feat. ADL” by Freddie Cruger (aka Red Astaire), taken from his 2006 album “Soul Search”. Click here to download this gem.

Releases
======

Coming soon on Tru Thoughts………..

Monday 12th May: “Fingers And Thumbs” album by Unforscene
As previously mentioned just up there, Unforscene’s first album for Tru Thoughts is out on Monday. Featuring two CDs cram-packed with an eclectic mix of styles from cinematic jazz to blues, a touch of folk, and cutting edge electronica, with star turns from a range of amazing vocalists and all bound together with the most masterful production, this album has so far pricked up the ears of DJ Andy Smith (Portishead), Domu (BBC Radio 1Xtra) and Parker of XFM among others.
Available at the Etch Shop Now!

Monday 26th May: “Just Say” album by Kylie Auldist
“Just Say” is an album full of finds - sprinkled with Kylie’s characteristically uplifting, sun-soaked vibe, and boasting backing vocals that feel like a blissful breeze, catchy, funky brass hooks and dance-the-night-away percussion from The Bamboos - which is guaranteed to have you donning your flip-flops and rhythmically stoking up the barbie by track two. This is quite simply a top quality funk/soul album from a phenomenal singer, and the perfect soundtrack to the summer. You’ve heard the single, and Mark Lamarr is a fan, so keep an eye on the Etch Shop as it is going to be exclusively available there at least a week in advance.

Monday 26th May: “The Rising” single by Natural Self
With addictive beats, catchy hooks and stunning vocal performances, “The Rising” marks Natural Self’s triumphant return to Tru Thoughts. From the first note, “The Rising” drops you straight into the centre of a sonic melée. The powerful, chanted chorus, featuring Nathaniel Pearn (aka Natural Self) on vocal duties, gives way to lead vocals written and performed by the eminent soul singer Andreya Triana, with an impossibly tasty, heavy-hitting hip hop beat (with a dubstep lilt and some cheeky snares in there for good measure) driving straight through the middle. The B Side is “In The Morning” another killer, and the 12” also includes extras like instrumentals, a capellas, and a version. A chance to get familiar with Natural Self’s new material ready for the full album, out on 30th June.

Monday 2nd June: “Shapes 08:01” Compilation
Well, as you know by now, this comp is well worth getting your hands on, and it’s available now exclusively on the Etch Shop, a full age before its official release date.
Go to www.etchshop.co.uk to have a listen for yourself and purchase this fantastic 16-track selection of stormers from the Tru Thoughts stable.

ETCH SHOP EXCLUSIVE: “Listen! Hear!! The Bamboos Live!!!
If ever you needed another reason to stay tuned to the Etch Shop, here’s a limited Etch Shop Exclusive, expressly for you. This is one of the most amazing sounding live albums you’ll ever hear, with kings of funk The Bamboos on peak form and the almighty vocal talents of Kylie Auldist. It was recorded live at the Metro Theatre, Sydney in October 2007. The Bamboos and Kylie Auldist are kicking off a tour in Australia in June, and will be bringing their red-hot live show to the UK in October/November 2008 so this album should see you through nicely until then.
This Live Album will be exclusively available on the Etch Shop within the week, so please keep an eye on that veritable emporium of sonic joy in the next few days.

Advance Notice: Don’t tell anyone I told you, but……………
Will “Quantic” Holland, that most unstoppable of musical creators, has only gone and recorded a stunning, summery set of reggae/dub inspired tracks under the guise “Quantic presents Flowering Inferno”. The first 7” single of this project will be out on June 23rd so keep an ear to the ground for more news and audio clips on the Etch shop. It’s lovely, and will be followed by an album later in the summer.
