soullessmate Revocation, somewhere in between, whaaaa? they were way superior to a lot of releases this year by my reckoning. Otherwise, good choices, quite a bit that I haven't heard. Will give a listen to the rest.

zao_89 Yeah, I probably should have put it in the top just for that one song with the Deep Purple groove (the title track I think?), but I only listened to it for the first time that day, so it didn't really have time to sink in.

shiduba That Rainbowdragoneyes record is INSANELY good. I am a big chiptune fan and that is one of the best ever. And you're saying that Design the Skyline was better than Revocation and Oh, Sleeper?

Well, I've listened to both of those albums at least twice now, and there's maybe one song on each album that actually stood out.

All right, to each his own music :) But I consider Structures nothing more than generic djent/metalcore with AWFUL production. Indeed, the songs have some good parts, but overall it's barely listenable.

They've just gotten uninteresting to me. TS, Alaska and Colors are great albums, but The Great Misdirect and The Parallax just sound like boring technical riff after boring technical riff to me.
