Crossbreed @ House of Blues (9-27-09)
Set 28 2009, 23h43
Sunday, September 27, 2009 – Crossbreed, Fall Of Envy, Hydrosonic, The Rise of Defiance
Amazingly enough, this is my second time catching Crossbreed in a year. For a band that has canceled about a million Orlando shows, I was shocked to see another Orlando show scheduled... not to mention a free one!
Caught the first two opening bands, big MEH. At least they seemed to draw a pretty decent local crowd and handle the stage well. Was pretty impressed with the turnout considering how poor the Firestone show was. Wish they would've brought in some industrial metal to fill out the bill though.
The second Crossbreed hit the stage with Kill Everything, I immediately knew it was going to be a much better show than the Firestone show was. Better sound, better crowd, better everything. Setlist is below:
Kill Everything
Beg
Hollow
Severed
Emote
Painted red
The Calling
Pure Energy
Superstition (Stevie Wonder Cover)
Seasons
Wished it was a bit longer set, but can't beat free. James spent most of the show in the crowd and the rest of the band was all over the stage like usual. Pretty solid show. Hope to see them get on some good tours to support the new album.
Speaking of the new album, glad I could finally pick up KE 101, haven't been able to find it at Best Buys around town.
