LOL so I deleted all my other journals to do these type of journals. What what?
For my first review, I'm doing
Infinity On High. I've been a Fall Out Boy fan since Aug. 2005 and to be honest, my expectations were low for this CD. Onto the review:
1.
Thriller- WOAH JAY-Z!! I think Patrick's vocals sound INSANE in this track (and the whole C.D.). I personally don't think this is a strong opening track (a good one is
Our Lawyer Made Us Change The Name Of This Song So We Wouldn't Get Suedor
We Intertwined)
6.8/10 (Jay-Z owns this track)
Every other title. 2.
The Take Over, The Break's Over Haha I like the beat. AND I LOVE PATRICK STUMP. I know a lot of people don't like his voice, but I can't get enough of it. I like the constant beat in the back of the song but I dunno about the piano whatever bit.
7.6/10
3.
This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race- Oh jeez. I remember commenting this song saying "...n'sync, panic! at the disco and cascada had a baby." However, watch the video. I think it's the funniest thing ever. However, the "do do doooooo" thing pisses me off. It doesn't make Fall Out Boy look very good, but it's god damn catchy.
6.0/10
4.
I'm Like A Lawyer With The Way I'm Always Trying To Get You Off (Me & You)
Didn't I just listen to this? Until the chorus, it sounds EXCATLY like track 2? I like this song more though; the chorus is catchier and well, it's better.
7.9/10
5.
Hum HallelujahHum Halleeeellluuujjjaahhhhhhhh. What is with FOB and catchy lyrics this time around? Nice job Wentz and Stump.
7.1/10
6.
Golden LOL at me for almost labeling FOB as Fall Out Boty. Anyway, I LOVE PATRICK'S VOICE. His voice reminds me a lot of Wil from
Cartel. His voice just drives me insane LOL. I'm sorry, I kinda like dark Fall Out Boy. I'm sorry, I love it.
8.4/10
7.
Thnks fr th Mmrs- Haha no vowels. I'm sure that'll take the teenies a while. Easily my favorite on the CD. The lyrics are good (for Fall Out Boy..) and that catchy chorus/harmonies!
8.9/10
8.
Don't You Know Who I Think I Am? I love the titles this time around- I rarely call tracks on FUTCT by their real names. Patrick's voice...(sigh). I like this track, but it's kinda every other track after
Nobody Puts Baby In A Corner- I don't remember them all by heart.
7.8/10
9.
The (After) Life Of The Party- Woah, wtf with the opening? Eh, it's an alright song. But kuddos for the title Wentz~*-
7.3/10
10.
The Carpal Tunnel Of Love- LOL if I make a band, remind me to name it this. I know this track came out before the leak, but I only heard This Ain't A Scene.. Anyway, I like this song! I sense a bit of
XO in this track. AND PLEASE, I WON'T RAVE ABOUT STUMP'S VOICE THE WHOLE REVIEW.
7.9/10
11.
Bang The Doldrums I like this track for no apparent reason. Maybe I dig songs with repetiveness? Haha, I like the WOAH WOAHHH WOAHHHHHHH's in this better then This Ain't a Scene..
8.2/10
12.
Fame < Infamy Every other title. < This Title. I dunno, maybe this track reminds me a bit of
The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus? Haha, it's track 12, I'm losing it. The chorus is really the most memorable part for me, sorry2say
6.6/10
13.
You're Crashing, But You're No Wave-
Dance Dance flashbacks? Haha, I really like this song. Normally, I love the chorus' more then the verses, but they both work for me here. And LOL at the little harmony thing at the end. A little choir boyish for me.
7.2/10
14.
I've Got All This Ringing In My Ears And None On My Fingers LAST TRACK! And the entire is amazing. Hey, Wentz, when you actually release this, please put this first. I love the chours. FOB owns at making chorus' that the teenies will remember.
7.3/10
Average: 7.5.
Overall, I expected so much less from this CD. I got more then I expected. Just don't listen to it in a row like I just did. My head hurts *turns on Eisley*
MAH FIRST REVIEW~*
