  • Shinedown / Disturbed - Manchester Apollo

Mon 6 Oct – Disturbed, Shinedown

    Holy shit! What a night!

Shinedown were absolutely amazing live, even better than in the recording studio in my opinion. They hit every note, and got well and truely involved with the crowd (to the extent of Brent gettin into the crowd)

Then came Disturbeds turn! David gets wheeled out on a trolly in a straight jacket Hanibal Lector style! My jaw hit the floor, from that point on it just got better and better! Fantastic artwork providing back drops, and the passion from Mr Draiman was great! "A group therapy session"

The only thing I felt that let it down was David not quite hittin all the notes, but who cares, the night was fantastic

I thought that the support bands were awsome!

Lostprophets as always owned the night, however I felt that Ian tended to talk to the crowd a little too much, when he could have been playing more stuff. Made it feel like he was just padding the set out to waste time due to a lack of material.
It was good however to hear some of the new stuff, alongside the old classics.

Can I just say aswell that the idiots in the pit made it an awful night! I was stood there trying to hold back what felt like the whole pit, and jesus do I ache! lol

Great gig and thouroughly enjoyed it, cant wait for the arena tour ;)
  • Erasure live at Manchester Apollo

    Set 18 2007, 14h00

Thu 13 Sep – Erasure, Onetwo

Well, I have to say that the support act was rather pants. What the hell was she screaming about? Was that actually English?

But when Andy and Vince stepped on the stage the room erupted into voice. After all these years they can still perform live well. Andy's voice is still as good as ever live and there wasnt a single bad note sung all night.

I thoroughly enjoyed myself and had the best night at a concert that I have ever had.
