.ask me about - first- and second-wave industrial. neoclassical and martial. the more martial industrial end of neofolk. the more rhythmic end of noise and power electronics. proto-ebm and ebm. post-punk, minimal wave, coldwave, no wave.

although i consider myself an industrial music obsessive, i'm turned off by the shit that tends to get played in so-called industrial clubs these days. i'm simply unimpressed by most futurepop, aggrotech/elektro/whatever it's called, and industrial rock & metal. that's not to say there might not be a few decent tracks in all these styles.

give me the metal on metal screech and clang of einstürzende neubauten or test dept, the stripped-bare bass sequences and clipped vocals of nitzer ebb or deutsch amerikanische freundschaft, the sinister experimentation of laibach or cabaret voltaire, the jackbooted bombast of wappenbund or triarii.
