Today marks a year of your death.. but everyone who once honored you knows that Eyedea Lives. Your music has made an impact in my life, as well in others. Your flow was never alike to anyone else’s and it will never be. What I love the most about your music is that you made each song with diverse meanings. You’ve proven to be an amazing lyricist, and you’ve proven to be a master at battling and the Art of Freestyling.

You were truly talented and forever will be. And because of you, I will always know to live in the now and even though I may fall, no matter how hard I hit the ground, I’ll still smile.

I’ve said this plenty of times and it’s amazing how someone you’ve never met physically… how their death can affect your life. I remember calling my friend Kenneth and telling him you passed away. He was struck. I was struck. Fans were struck.
The good ones always go. At only at the age of 28, you still had a long way to go.

“Damn Eyedea, you was a good lookin’ cat.”
