Here are my top 20 (because there will be so many) oh-my-gosh-this-album-needs-to-be-out-now albums for 2009! They're in order of my level of "excitedness."

The ones with asterisks are only rumours that I've heard, so they're not confirmed for a new album. Most of them have confirmed "seasons" for their release.

1. Young Cardinals by Alexisonfire
OH MY GOSH, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE RELEASE ASAP. That is all. You can do no wrong in my eyes, Alexis. Actually you can: an album full of You Burn Firsts. I need a new album so I can see them live (even though I hopefully will at Warped this summer). And really, I'm not sure why Crisis got all of that bad-talk it did. A Crisis II wouldn't be horrible, actually. I liked the guitar direction they took (eg, Crisis, My God Is A Reasonable Man and We Are The End) because it (the guitars) really stood out to me. Just do what you do, Alexis.

2. Love vs. Money by The-Dream
I love Mr Nash! He said it would be a more "crunked up" (or something like that) version of Lovehate which I loved and listened to almost all summer. So...I'm sure it won't be horrible. I've found two or three leaked songs from it, and ~I approve~

3. It's Not Me, It's You by Lily Allen
It's about time. Guess Who Batman is awesome. The Fear and Who'd of Known are alright, still (see what I did there?), but I still like the direction of Alright, Still: deceptively sweet songs.

4. Muse*, could be 2010
No words.

5. Paramore, summer
RIOT! was pretty good. They could have put some of the B-sides on the album, even if it meant a little loss of cohesion. There are only a few P-more songs I don't like, so either way the album goes, I'll probably like it.

6. Chiodos, autumn
Bone Palace Ballet was amazing...I listened to it non-stop for a while. Two Birds Stoned At Once is okay, I guess. If the new album is like BPB and some strong, random new influence, it will be amazing, I'm sure.

7. Amy Winehouse*
I just hope she's still alive. I love Amy!

8. Arctic Monkeys
Your Favourite Worst Nightmare didn't really crack up for what it seemed it would be for me, except for a few songs. As long as it stays relatively simple with short, fast-paced songs, it should be good. I hope they don't turn soft, if that were possible.

9. Smashing Pumpkins*
I think we all need an explanation for Zeitgeist. Like, what was that? I do love Tarantula, but please, Pumpkins, don't pull another Zeitgiest.

10. Kate Nash
You are a precious little thing, Kate. Just do what you do, b. I really like Caroline Is A Victim, but I guess that would be more of a retrogression. Ho hum.


11. Panic at the Disco, spring
I just want this to release because Pretty. Odd. BLEW. I thought that album tried so hard to be whatever they wanted to be, and it just sounded really weird. If they went in the direction of 20 Dollar Nose Bleed, then I would be a happy little clam. Throw in a bit of electronica or techno influences with it, and bam! you've got something special.

12. C.O.L.O.U.R. by Fonzworth Bentley
Because I was obsessed with him when I was younger.

13. Relapse by Eminem
How do you follow up Encore, Em? I'm very curious. It wasn't the best album ever, but good nonetheless. It was a somewhat graceful bow, so let's see!

15. The Used, February
As with Zeitgeist, I feel an explanation is needed for Lies For The Liars. What was that album? I'm a bit sad I bought it on the first day it came out because it definitely wasn't anything like I thought it would be, and not in the good way.

16. Weezer
Weezer (Red Album) was meh. At first I loved it, but then I realised I actually only really liked two or three songs, and I just played them a lot. So, they've got room to improve a lot. Maybe a new influence is needed. Not saying that I don't like their style, just that something completely new would be interesting to see.

17. Taking Back Sunday, spring
I actually liked some of Louder Now, even if it was a deviation from what TBS is ~known~ for or whatever you want to call it. I want to hear something new from them. No acoustic, please. I'm not sure how long ago Just like heaven was recorded, but definitely nothing like that. Ever.

18. Against Me!, autumn
I kind of just started listening to AM! earlier this year, so I wouldn't be disappointed if they did something "bad" because of the unfamiliarity. However, New Wave was fantablous, and I think I should listen to some older AM! now that I'm thinking about it.

19. Killswitch Engage, spring
A new album would be great because As Daylight Dies was pretty good. I want them to tour really badly, too, because their concert was aaaaawesome. I really respect KSE, so whatever.

20. Every Time I Die, winter
ETID is my big gateway to that whole "southern rock" genre. Haha, I can't wait to see this album's cover art. Okay...the music? Yeah. Umm...just...do something...good?

Well, I love My Chemical Romance. A lot. So, I decided to see which album I really did like best.

What I did was I wrote down all the songs, checked all the ones I played, and left blank the ones that I usually skip over. Then, I calculated the percentage of the album I listen to, which will tell me which album I like the most.

Apparently, I love I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love. And to me, evidently~, MCR's albums declined in awesomeness as they kept going.

This was interesting to me, because I always say that Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge is my favourite album.

...Guess not.

1. My Chemical Romance - What. The. Eff. Were you guys thinking with The Black Parade? I liked it a bit at first, but now...just ugh. I really hope I can gain my respect of sorts for you again. Honestly.

2. Paramore - It's kind of hard to insult P-More. They're super-innocent and stuff; it's hard to nitpick. Well, here's one thing: Don't release good songs as singles for stupid people to eat up!

3. The Used - Hahaha. I get mad at Bert sometimes, but otherwise, you rock. Lies For The Liars was kinda crappy, but the other two make up for it! Also, erm, sometimes the lyrics suck. Example? Time kills/Go ask Jesus from "The Ripper".

4. Panic! At the Disco/Panic at the Disco - I have nothing to say, except for one thing. WHY TAKE OUT THE GRATUITOUS PUNCTUATION?

5. Chiodos - Nothing much, either, except for the fact it's really hard to learn lyrics from just listening. I only blame Craig's voice, but what would it be without it?

6. Klaxons - Why?!?! WHY!?!?! Why must you release your catchiest song, hoarding tons and tons of stupid people that don't appreciate you? You're only hurting yourselves. And on behalf of (some) USA fans, I'm sorry you have dumb ones that only know Golden Skans. But it's kind of your fault.

7. The Horrors - Not much, actually. Well, come out with new stuff already! Strange House was good and all, but I'm bored with it.

8. Fall Out Boy - I've fallen slightly out of love with you, only because Pete(r) "Panda" Wentz became more of a jerk after Infinity On High was released.

9. Kate Nash - You are super amazing! I don't have anything negative to say...nothing I can think of. Ugh, and ignore all the criticism about your live shows. You're adorable and stuff, so whatever.

10. Muse - Bellamy! Do you know how hard it is to learn lyrics by ear? That's it. You guys are genius.
