Holy crap, I'm sold and I'm not even done track 1 (Last Day Of Winter), seriously I'm going to buy this album as soon as I can find it. Another last.fm user recommended Pelican after reading 'Completely biased album review #2' and WOW that user and Pelican (this album in particular) are fantastic for existing. It's sorta like if someone took Mogwai and mashed them up with Isis...my perfect audible peanut butter cup. I get that alot of people won't get it but I also don't care, these are completely biased album reviews after all.
Aside from just being fantastic, this band, on all the albums I've heard thus far, have a great propensity for translating the live show feel onto the album, track 2 (Autumn Into Summer) is great for that towards the end...see, I'm still only at track 2 and totally digging this..
Jebus Christ this album rocks, still only on track 3 (March Into The Sea) and my...it's wonderful. If my Mogwai/Isis audible peanut butter cup had sprinkles it would be Red Sparowes...just lovely.
Track 4 (Untitled)...well I mean I did just finish three totally heavy rocking tracks so I'm biasedly biased now but still, it's great...acoustic guitar rocking on this plain, brilliant.
Track 5 (Red Ran Amber) very Mogwai'ish (although slightly sucky at the beginning but it's over 11 minutes long so give it a chance).
Oh man it's all so good you just stop doing stuff and listen, and then it just ends with track 7 (Sirius), just wonderful. If you're like me (both "congratulations" and "sorry about your luck") listen to this album as soon as you can, it makes everything ok...seriously.
