1978, The Rolling Stones started a two-week run at No.1 on the US album chart with 'Some Girls', the group's seventh US No.1 album.

1973, appearing at 'The Great Western Express' festival at White City, London, The Edgar Winter Group, Sly and the Family Stone, Canned Heat, Lindisfarne and The Kinks. Ray Davies of The Kinks announced from the stage that he was sick of the whole thing and was retiring. He then walked into the local hospital and collapsed.
