Right okay, so I guess its been like, what, 2 months since my last entry? See, I'm always bad with keeping a live journal thingie.
Anyway, now that I'm writing in it now (finally) I thought I'd mention the new Menomena album, 'Friend and Foe', an album that I've been anticipating since their first album back in 2004, 'I am the Fun Blame Monster', and then their second more obscure album, 'Under an Hour', in 2005.
The new album isn't released untill January 23 (this coming tuesday, as I write this post) and I was lucky enough to snag a copy by complete accident.
Hilarious, I know, but is it good journal material? Not really, but I'm going to tell it anyway, so hah!
So seeing as I'm a big Menomena fan, you'll all be suprised to know that I don't own one Menomena album (save the 'Wet and Rusting' EP I orderd online in complete anticipation to their new album), so I got the dude at the local record store I shop for indie disc's to order me the first 2004 record (Blame Monster) and while he was ordering to get me a copy of the new album too. I get a call a few days later telling me that my CD has come in, next day when I go to pick it up he mistakenly sells me the new album without even noticing that its not to go on sale for another 5 days! Oh baby!
IMO, 'Friend and Foe' is better than their first album, everyone should check it out, Menomena are an excellent talented band with a very small fan base. Go now and listen to them!!!!
Okay, thats all for now. Caio.
