haha no, it could be it's just not that good. Good point though, maybe it will sound better in September. I thought Pond only released 2 albums, now I see the number is actually 4. I still haven't checked out anything beyond BWD but i think I'll start with Frond. As for acid jazz, I'm not all that familiar with this term (had to look it up really) or which artists fall into this genre. Usually I just divide jazz artists into 2 categories: slower paced / faster paced jazz lol. Recently I came across Mountain Mocha Kilimanjaro which are more on the funkier side and I really like the fast tempo! And I've been playing a lot of Ennio Morricone lately, mostly soundtracks from italian giallo films. Sorry, I'm not sure if he even falls into this genre...but I honestly don't know if your question was based on my recently played music or you just wanted to ask if I happen to know/like the genre XD

I messed up my previous comment. The "latter" was obviously supposed to be BWD. Thanks for mentioning the band, I went with their new stuff first and definitely got into it. "So much going on" is the perfect way to describe some of the songs. Like the ones I mentioned the other day...you're halfway through a song and it just feels like you're discovering a song within a song (if that makes sense). Btw, have you heard the new Tame Impala track called "Elephant"? To be honest, I'm not feeling this one at all...it's pretty annoying!!

They are like Tame Impala 2.0. I can't help but compare "Beard, Wives, Denim" to Innerspeaker. I think the latter has more standout tracks and is a better from start to finish album. The one track that really stands out on BWD (to me at least) is Eye Pattern Blindness...there are several other very good songs, particularly Allergies, Sorry I was under the sky, Elegant Design. Overall a pretty good album, I tend to skip a song here and there, though.

To quote Kevin Parker: "But I also have a desire to sound like Britney Spears, I love pop music. On the one hand this album is weird and fucked up, but on the other hand very pop". - naturally, this had me a little concerned but hearing the Apocalypse Dreams...it should be a good one (or maybe we're still in for a surprise). I haven't heard of them (Pond) until now. I checked two random songs on youtube, sounds pretty good. Will give them a proper listen later on, thanks.

Very much, it's incredible. Had it on repeat since they released it this week. Nice little tease for the new album, my expectations are definitely rising.

Great choices, those two tracks. There are still some other gems for you to discover though...you'll find them sooner rather than later :p Did you mean favourite stuff by graveyard or favourite stuff in general? Yeah, I use the music player on my phone a lot. It's not an android (or whatever those new types are) so I can't scrobble a damn thing with it. What do you use?

Don't mention it. You've introduced me to a lot of good artists that I wasn't aware of...so I'm glad I got one right :) Did you check out both of their albums or just "Hisingen Blues"? The self-titled album from 2007 is also a good one, some mighty fine tracks on there. You know why I checked them out in the first place? The album cover (for Hisingen Blues) - it's one of the best I've seen in recent years.

Ah, yes. I forgot about that one. That's another good track. And if you ask me, "Remember me" had potential to be a good one too, but it was ruined by you know which part. I'll probably get sick of it fairly quickly. I enjoy most of their demos though.

Hey, gotta say I like the demos (as well as other tracks) a lot. "Remember me" was the one track I didn't like at first. That ggggg part that kicks in at 0:30 bothered me, but something's changed, now I like that one as well - it's a pretty catchy tune. My other favourites are Sundown Syndrome, The Serpentine, My Lover Mother Nature and Into the Jungle. I'm already looking forward to their next album! btw...did you end up seeing the Blood Ceremony show?

LOL. Yeah, mostly chocolates and some cash. Money is kind of a lame gift but what the heck...it comes in handy. ..in other news...soundgarden is scheduled to perform in italy this june (sorry montreal :p). Just heard this today and I'm officially excited. Will wait a bit to see if they add more shows before I buy my milano ticket!!!

It's not on a soundtrack, but it's possible. I can't say for sure as I only saw a few scenes. Was the movie any good at all? I remember seeing Cornell in it, though it was for a few seconds. Poor guy had no lines. ...Mine was all right. I spent it in my hometown...I don't know...this one kind of went by pretty fast. I tried getting in that jolly good mood too, but having no snow for christmas bugs the hell out of me haha. How was yours? Oh, and (a very late) merry christmas to you too :)

Indeed. Ugh, that happens way too often. "Seasons" was actually on a soundtrack for a movie "Singles". It's supposed to be this cheesy romantic comedy from 1992, but I never watched the whole movie...I only paid attention to the music. The soundtrack is pretty great and it includes a soundgarden gem - "birth ritual" ...so this means you saw him tour his scream album, right? lol, neat. Hopefully, it was still worth it. I forgot to mention, Temple of the dog is probably my 2nd favourite project by chris. They (Chris, Matt + some pearl jam dudes) were a one time thing, but they sure were a lot better than chris' post-soundgarden projects.
