I had more problems than I could handle during my junior year in college. Somehow, it seemed like Ani was singing about all of them. It's nice not to be alone.

"Say Goodbye" and "Beautiful Child" are the hardest to take.

In 2000, I saw the video for "Every Day" and fell in love with Stevie. About three years later, I figured I should check out the rest of the band. Also, my best friend told me that she (Stevie) was better with FM than solo, so I had to see what she was talking about.

right now, I think I'd say "The Jig is Up"

Never have. Her goofy stage antics might drive me crazy and the tickets cost too much, anyway. I really prefer her studio stuff.

This is sort of good. I wrote an English translation to "Estoy Aqui" (my favorite song of hers) and changed the lyrics up a bit to fit something I was going through last summer. It was cathartic.

Discovering the song "Incognito." I liked to think of going off to college that way, that I could "recommence ma vie a zero" and feel "bien dans ma peau," knowing that the faces are all new and people didn't already know about all my missteps in life.
