I saw Sarah Jarosz live last summer in Colorado, she was might impressive! Haven't gotten her new album yet though. This album from Rebecca Pronsky I'm listening to is also quite good. Have a good one!

The Red Shoe and Sensual World are my least listened to albums, The Song of Solomon is fantastic, I'm just happy to hear some new Kate, even old new will do. It's not going to knock Let England Shake off my favorite of this year but it's a pleasant and unexpected detour. I don't see iamamiwhoami in your charts, I think you'd really like. Also Gang Gang Dance new album 'Eye Contact' is brilliantly strange and captivating!

Yeah I too feel that the EP has the edge, well greatly. It's a pity that the album is less realised, I mean individually has some great tracks but a lack of cohesion lets it down, they really sdo frre themselves up in a live environment, I was mentioning similar to kalimay, that they are well worth seeing live for best results. Hopefully I'll try to catch 'em again in Feb.

Yay! Now you see :D In answer to yr question Elephants is actually from their earlier Exquisite Corpse EP, although that was some years before their current fab drummer Stella joined, they had a few guy drummers before for instance, also Jenny's (the bassist) sister bashed those skins initially.

I saw them play a few months back, they were really very good, I think they are actually a far greater prospect live than on record., the drummer especially is technically pretty amazing. Yeah I read a little about Siouxsie having some involvement, I don't really get the comparisons either though.

Oh hey! No pressure, Only persevere if you feel the need ;) I can appreciate they can't be everyone's cup of tea, the album is a little patchy esp the second half anyway.
