Hey, we’re sharing this with people who seem to have an interesting taste, so this is not a blind spam. We’re a metal room that plays a variety of interesting bands and genres. You’re more than welcome to pass by and share some tunes! Hope to see you at http://plug.dj/the-bone-garden-metal-room/ , cheers!

I know right? It's madness. Gonna try to make the Krallice/Crucifist gig, though school might interfere (bah humbug). And sure thing, add away - I used to write for Metal Review ;) and having more metal friends is always a good thing!

Still debating; Allentown's closer but the crowds always blow, and I've got tons of friends in NY who will be at the Knitting Factory gig. I'm leaning towards NYC though. That week's insane for shows - that one, then Shining, Jucifer/Salome, Crucifist, and Total Fucking Destruction/Mammoth Grinder in Philly!

Word! I can't wait for that show - Pentagram are phenomenal live! I think that Revocation show's the same night as something else here in Philly - what's the date on it? I'm none too fond of the Allentown area but I do make it up there for especially alluring gigs.

Nice! Are you coming to the Pentagram/Gates of Slumber gig next month?

Oh nice! Yeah it went really well, I booked the gig so I was extra-happy to see it work out, haha. Across Tundras are so good, and Sea of Bones destroyed! Those comments are from my mate Callum from London - he's a character, as you can see.

I'm not sure yet whether I think Crack the Skye is that good. Or maybe it really is that good and I will just need a while to warm up. I like it enough, it may just be all the hype that is keeping me from loving it. I hate that. But there is no doubt that it is one catchy mutha.

I hear you, my brother. Only in terms of catchiness, this reminds me to warn you, "Wait til you hear that new Mastodon." THAT shit digs in and establishes a permanent, ever expanding colony of earworms that will not fucking relent. Probably on the order of last year's Grand Magus. Seriously. But, yeah, that Revelation is da shiznit. You know what else kicks ass? Boris-Pink. I'm a rambler today.

I just fucking replied to myself. This last.fm shout thing gets me all twisted around. Anyway, here's what I said: Awesome, man. That Into the Light album is turning out to be a real stayer for me. I'm surprised at how much I still enjoy it after so many listens. And that Veil album is really good. I love the fuzziness, too. I get the feeling from it though that it's a hopeful record. Maybe a "kill yourself and then everything will be better" sort of thing. Ha ha. Who knows?

Talk to me, brother. How'd The Prophecy hitcha?

Ha ha, yeah, man, funny when that happens. I'm actually brand new to Melvins. It was Boris' brilliant fucking live show that prompted me to delve in - so I picked up their Pink album and Houdini. Good stuff, Maynard.

Hey, man. Did you see my PM over at MR? If not, go see it. If so, what the heck are ya waitin fer?!

Definitely. Funny thing about nonmetal is that I like it but I rarely choose to put it on, and when I do it's usually to serve some purpose, like set the mood for company or dinner or studying or something. Nothing moves me like good metal. Like Big Boss and JB and Bruce, etc. I love being geeky about metal.

Your teacher was a douche. Ha ha. Everybody told me I'd outgrow metal. Said I'd learn to appreciate music on a more complex aesthetic level. Can o' shit, that. But, then, you already know that. I told my mom on the phone today that I'm heading to Atlanta for the Scion Rock Fest and she said she really can't believe I'm still into "that stuff" (I'm often at local shows on Friday nights when she calls). I told her "Now more than ever" and it's true.

Cemetery Earth is heavier and has less of that bluesy feel you mentioned. Closer to traditional doom, I think. I remember the MR Big Boss bashing. I was one who defended him just based on the sample - and I'm loving this. I understand why some don't like it but I think they're really missing out. I think Lee does a good job sticking up for this kind of stuff as heavy metal fantasy, a sort of great escape (like, from life for a little while).

Ooooh, yeah, man. Mo2V (that looks silly) is awesome. I'm glad to hear that's how it hits you because I feel the exact same way. If I could write music that made me feel the way I did when I discovered some awesome new metal in junior high, that would definitely be it. BTW, you're gonna want this Pale Divine (Cemetery Earth) I just got, too. These guys are so good. Contemplates that trip to Indy for Templars of Doom...

Hey, buddy. Release is stunning. I've spun it five or six times since arrived yesterday evening. Even my little girl likes it - it's pretty cool and mellow.
