    Tar Babies, cool. I really love 'Respect Yr Nightmares'. And I got to see them 1 year and then the next early 90s, and hung out with them too. Got drunk the first time, Bucky Pope sang the whole of 'New Poor' to me personally, standing at the bar. The next year we got 'caned' with them backstage at the Fulham Greyhound in London. I met Dan Bitney again a few years ago when Tortoise played in Moscow, though he didn't remember me, too many years touring the world and meeting too many people.

    Well, just here by chance after a browse through my friends after a long time. But I should second Doeskopp's recommendation of rateyourmusic. I see you did join, but have hardly used it. I didn't take to it at first, and was on there maybe 2 years before I really started to use it,. But when you start to see the functions that are not initially obvious, and when you start rating music and start getting automatic recommendations (all these things are via little links further down on your page) or when you start to see how you can use the 'custom searches', etc., etc., etc.. then it really is cool. Finding music not just according to what you listen to, but actually recommending releases to you based on your ratings of releases, according to what uses who listen to the same stuff as you and rate them similarly like. I make far more use of it now than last.fm, which never gave me half as much of a lead into new, interesting, quality and often obscure music. I added you as a friend there.

    Hm... the member area allows you to visualize your own collection. Based on this personal database the page is suggesting to you new releases by the artists you have already records from. If you like it you can review records and see which reviews "friends" you have made have written. Sometimes a good inspiration for records you have never heard of.

Sobre mim

I'm a dirty french old fart who's into punk rock for quite a while now, especially 80's american hardcore because there was and still ain't nuff' best for a good blast or/and a good kick in the butt!
Though I certainly expanded my taste in music since then and am always happy to dicover new artists and styles that blow my mind, i regularly get back to my first loves because yup, sometimes a bit nostalgic for i miss the 80's slam dancing, mosh pit & stage diving. where has gone this (another) state of mind?! Nowhere i guess... It's still inside me, maybe inside you too. Still, the attitude & fun lack at gigs today, no matter what you might say.
I'm not collecting records but i'm an asshole enough to consider myself as an open minded person...
Though mostly an untolerant jerk with the victims by choice and an ordinary sucker in real life, I nevertheless invite y'all to drop by my blog where I share sum tasty shitte... Feel free to visit and leave some hate-mail.
Try to keep the free vibe alive, speak the truth and cut the crap if not your hair!
Used to be posting sum vids on youtube under the same nick until they shut me down 9-15-2010. (381 rare punk cuts gone with the wind, thanx for nothing you fascist pigs!)
