A few years back i told my dad, when Neil Young comes to Europe we have to go see him. Late 2007 at last..the news..neil comes to Europe! At first I tried to get tickets to Antwerp, site sluggish, sold out. a day later, Neil is going to paris. And i had tickets. So yesterday we endeavored a 4 hour drive to Paris to see the god of Rock 'n Roll.
At eight a clock we entered the theatre le grand rex, a great venue with enormous leather seats (very comfy), our seat where near the end but still good view.
At 20:30 the show started with half an hour of Peggy young, a not so special country show, at 21:10 she stopped playing. Neil was announced to start 15 minutes later.
The stage had one piano (an electric), a small bar piano (like in the westerns) and a semi circle of guitars.
A guy came on stage with a painting with a big N on it. Neil was hidden behind him, he took place behind his guitars and started playing from hank to hendrix.

At 00:15 it was finished and we left the venue to have a pint in a pub, well as you can see one of the greatest(and longest) shows i have ever witnessed, and i have seen a lot! Neil is so raw, pure magic!
The next day we went to visit the grave of jim morrison (pic coming) to keep it a rock 'n roll weekend.
