Fri 20 Apr – Gilles Peterson
Gilles does it again. Serbian crowd was glad to see Gilles as always, and the feeling was mutual. He took the audience all across musical landscape of Worldwide show with his trademark genre, style, rhythm changes in shortest time imaginable. Even though I'm an avid GP fan, he occasionally left me dazzled with how the music changed without much effort from any side. This time around, of all GP concerts I attended (and I attended all of them in both Belgrade and Novi Sad), I've heard the most new tunes - around 5 of them and they were all great, kind of hinting that music is constantly progressing and Gilles has still his ears open.

Concert space, Museum of modern art, was below expectations (or hopes). The sounds wasn't great even close to the speakers. Once you get past the inevitable, Gilles' DJ set was all joy.

As usual, Belgrade music aficionados tend to come late to concerts so that, after DJ Spacewalker and guys from Braća Burazeri DJ collective, Gilles started his thing - at 1:10am!

The audience was persistent and there was more than 200 people who kept raving after 4am.

Hopefully, Gilles will manage to visit Serbia once more this year.
