I can't even tell what their lyrics are, so I guess I'm not sure what song that is. But yeah, sure, man- want to get lunch or something?

If you care to go back to Immaculada, the b-side is where it's at. "Lazarus" has this huge vocal hook running througout; "Praise The Lord And Pass The Ammunition" has a nice little twangy guitar riff; "Immaculada" builds with an ostinating ascending bass line and resonant guitars that layer upon each other until it all comes together in one big climax. Twice! YES! I really like it! Additionally, maybe you'd like their first 12" EP better. It's only four songs and doesn't try for any genres that are outside of their capabilities. Last summer I was always playing it along with The Stooges' Fun House. Everything but the new one is dl'able on their blag:

Tom Waits' case in point: "Dark Was The Night, Cold Was The Ground". /// I can't understand why Betty Davis isn't more popular. She's everything I like about funk music. I've tried to push her on some people and they always say they're turned off by her voice and crassness; yet, they seem to have no problem when George Clinton flaunts that attitude.... /// As for The Men, lol I know what song you're talking about. I was listening to a lot of lo-fi punk and pop stuff when I got Immaculada, and the thought of black metal didn't even occur to me at first. It's a weak spot, but it's short and easy to drown out. Overall, I get bigger post-punk vibes from the band as a whole than anything else. Listen to this song here and see what you think, it's off their new album that just came out last week:!/item/1bvzn/The+Men+-+Bataille
