AHHH I'M SO GLAD YOU WATCHED IT. It's so funny, I keep remembering lines from it that make me laugh. I'm impressed by your roommate, I managed to watch 2 seasons of 30 rock over a week once but it's taken me about 5 years to watch the rest of it. I've just started watching Freaks and Geeks! by just I mean like 2 months ago. I keep starting shows on netflix and then forgetting about them because I get distracted by all the other shows on there.

I will definitely watch Party Down. I've been watching a huge amount of tv recently (and by recently I mean always), I've just finished Orange is the new black on netflix which is hilarious/brilliant if you haven't already seen it. I started to write a list of my favourite tv shows but it was far too long, Parks and Rec is really good, and 30 Rock and Arrested Development.

And when I said "This", I meant "This".

.., and all these things are far more important than work. I actually know the satisfaction, not of cleaning out closets, but simply of cleaning. It's a terrible reflection on me, but I'm very fastidious, I like things orderly and in their right places. Maybe I could marry that woman, we could start a closet-cleaning company together, and clean even closet in U.S. We'd be HAPPY. Or perhaps just doing everything within our power to stave off our feelings of intense misery at the emptiness inherent in both our lives. Probably that. Hope all is well in N'awlins, Sarah.

... I see no problem wallowing over personal concerns, over one's relationship with others, perhaps over one's personality; in short, those things in life which are actually of importance, but over possessions, over things? It's tragic. What are you doing for your other job? I'm doing some photography work for the company my father works for this summer. They're a subsidiary to a big French car manufacturer called Peugeot (I don't think you get them in America, right?). I take stock photographs of car parts (currently their wondrous and inspiring range of air filters), resize the image, apply the watermark logo, and then upload them to their e-catalogue. Like this. It's monotonous, but allows time for me to use my imagination. Besides work, which I've only begun this past week, I've been to Sweden, to Denmark, and have plans to go to Scotland early next month with Sophie. I turn 21 in a number of weeks..

Sar-heh. That's cool. I remember now, tearing apart lots of magazines and newspapers to make those cards. Isn't Christmas one of the most beautiful times of year? I always feel such an acute sense of camaraderie with almost everybody during winter. It must be the darker nights and the cold weather; draws people closer together, or something. I sound so silly when I talk like this. I find myself hilarious; in a bad way. I think I watched some video once on DIY DNA extraction; am I right in thinking you can do it with vodka, a swab of saliva, and a few other things? You guys probably do it the fancy 'proper' way in the lab. Science, huh. Can I ask what PCR is? That woman sounds crazy. Emerson once remarked of Thoreau that he "made himself rich, by making his wants few", something I often call to mind when confronted with people who aren't content with their luxurious lifestyles....

Ser-hah. I'm afraid to say I can scarcely remember the card I made for you, though I'm very pleased you like it. What did it look like? Are you having a pleasant summer? Are you having a good time working with all those fungis? I bet you are. I'm jealous.

THAT IS THE MOST EXCITING THING SARAH! I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU DANCED IN CLOSE PROXIMITY TO ADAM SCOTT! Is Party Down good, should I watch it? I've been watching lots of television programmes recently. I looked up Hot Tub Time Machine (1) and it looks brilliant...ly terrible.

Ooh, I like that song a lot! Sorry for the delayed response. I look forward to hearing more of their music!

Hey, Sarah. How have you been? I've always wanted to get into The Books. Any album suggestions?

How's life treating you, Sarah? I've got more exams in about eight days, but I'm so terribly bored with reading about the European Union that I don't expect to do well. Are you finished for summer yet?

As for my dancing credentials, you'll have to ask Sophie if I do the 'standard white guy arms crossed and head nodding' routine at concerts. We both went to see The Postal Service on Saturday. I definitely nodded my head a little, but I'm not sure I did it with my arms crossed. Breaking boundaries. I remember you talking about that snow machine on your university campus. I find it hilarious. I think I posted this forever ago, but I made this guy about three years ago. He was about 12 foot tall, and my brother and I used a ladder to complete him. I loved him so much. The day he died was an absolute tragedy. I was thrown into intense turmoil.

Sarah LaPotin: I'm pretty much one of the worst type of people. Sorry for not replying to your last shouts; I really am terrible, particularly when our conversations bring me such a lot of joy. Amongst other things, you asked me if I had any pets. I have an aviary in my bedroom, where I keep Japanese Cranes. There's too many of them for me to recount their names to you, but they're quite wonderful, I assure you. I also have a snow owl at home named Viktor. I'm very childish really. I once had two hamsters named Bert and Smudge, but that was a very long time ago now. The closest thing I have to a pet now is a cat that visits my house at least once a week; it's evident that it belongs to somebody else, but it appears to rather like my company (god only knows why). I just call it 'Cat'; Cat is mostly grey, with these lovely piercing eyes.

Are you a good clog plopper Sarah? On a scale of 1 to 10 how would you rate your clog plopping skills?

That sounds absolutely lovely. I really would love to do some traveling myself; I feel like I rarely get to travel anywhere interesting. I miss college so much! That's great that you enjoy it so much. I've been out of college for almost a year now, and I'm still not 100% sure what I want to do for grad school. I've been considering music journalism, but that's a difficult field to get into. I've also been thinking about pursuing English and maybe being a college professor one day, but I'm still not completely sure. I feel like music is what I'm passionate about the most in life. On the other hand, I want a rewarding career that would greatly help other people, which is why I admire teaching so much as a profession. I'm indecisive, so I'm taking time to consider this more.

Hurrication is the best word. Do you still have dogs at home? What are their names? Hurricanes sound exciting (despite the threat to everybody's lives). I'd also like to experience a week or so without electricity. It'd at least make everybody appreciate it more.

That sounds fun. I want to go camping this summer too. My friend and I were talking about going to walk Mount Snowdon (in Wales). We went last year but didn't reach the top because of the weather. Not wanting to be defeated, we have tentative plans to go again this year. I love sleeping in a tent. Good luck (again) for the grant. I have my (metaphorical) fingers crossed for you.

Aye, I can't wait to see Marcus's daughter. I bet she's awesome. I've never been to Scandinavia, so it'll be really exciting. Further east I've ever been is (I think) Croatia. Europe's nice, you'd like it I guess. Beautiful cities, mountains, countryside, it's all quite lovely. Yes, I'm lucky I guess, I've met quite a few people from this website. It seems odd to me, but Sophie and I are good friends as a direct result of this website. We went to same college, lived about ten minutes from one another, but didn't know of each others existence until speaking on here. I've never found the transition from internet to real life strange. Meeting somebody from the internet has always seemed really natural to me, just like an extension of this (or any other) conversation. You and Stuart should still try to meet up. I'm sure you'd have the best time. I still long for a whole group meet-up one day.

Did you really not like Marmite? I guess it's a pretty acquired taste. I know a lot of people who detest it, and they are British, so I think you'll still be allowed in.
