    Sufjan Stevens - The Predatory Wasp reminds me of 2 autumns ago. This was around the time that I began discovering some of my favorite independent bands.

    Freelance Whales - Even though Hannah has the most plays, I think my favorite is Ghosting. I love the time signature changes, and "you caught me sleeping in the powers sockets, you caught me mildew in the tiles of the bathroom"

33. How did you get into 12?
    Band of Horses - Well, like everyone else I heard the song The Funeral before, and some of the other popular songs but I didn't start loving them until my uncle's friend's band did a cover of Infinite Arms. So I downloaded that album. that was last winter, and I couldn't stop listening to them, especially the song Blue Beard.

    M83 - Kim & Jessie, it's funny because I discovered that song 3 years ago, before I knew some 80s-influenced bands, so at the time I was like "wooow this is so 80s, coooooool"

    The Shins - Australia. also, I have a fond memory of this song! It was the winter when I was obsessed with making sock monsters, and I would sew while this song was on repeat. It took me forever to memorize the lyrics.

    The Radio Dept. - I can't remember, but it was from the Clinging To A Scheme album. I'm listening to it now and I'm feeling such nostalgia for the beginning of the summer, because I ran to some songs.

    Phoenix - Aww, I love them all, this is my quintessential summer band. I'm feeling so nostalgic! I'm going to say Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix because it was the first.

    Circa Survive - On Letting Go because that's the one with The Difference Between Medicine and Poison Is In The Dose. Someone once told me this song made them feel like they were in a video game.

    Yuck - Ahh! Yuck is so amazing, every time I hear them I am just transported back to the beginning of the summer, obviously this was a great time for me.

    The Depreciation Guild - :( I heard Spirit Youth first, and I own the vinyl now, but I also really love In Her Gentle Jaws. And since I'm on a roll with the summer nostalgia, I'll also add that these two albums (and In the Aeroplane Over the Sea) comprised the late-summer music.

    Darwin Deez - He he, this guy. He makes me smile. All of his songs are infectious! Are there patterns in our skies, are patterns only in our eyes? Or is a constellation just a consolation?
