"Shaking the Habitual" will be hard to follow up, yes. It's really a daring piece of work that I love more with each listen. Regarding the Swans/Pharmakon show, I'm not a huge Swans fan but I'm tempted to go. I imagine their shows are amazing. I do like Pharmakon btw. Her new one is pretty great, too.

Man, it really has been awhile. Anyway, that tour sounds amazing, holy shit. I want(ed) to see Cold Cave and Boyd Rice but I think tickets are sold out? Seeing Prurient would be great though. "Shaking the Habitual" is truly brilliant, I agree. One of my favorites of the year as well, along with Paysage d'Hiver's "Das Tor" and Prurient's "Through the Window". I love the progression from typical Knife with "Tooth for an Eye" and then becomes more and more bizarre and brilliant. It's like a story being told.

"The History of Aids" > "Cocaine Death" > "And, Still Wanting" > "Bermuda Drain" for me. What are your other favorites? What's your favorite Muslimgauze, btw? I like some stuff with bigoted lyrics as long as it's not literal. I think in a weird way it's representative of what our society is like in a lot of ways. ;o Maybe it's cathartic for me. I actually worked at a sexual assault centre, yet the lyrics of Ash Pool appeal. I guess I'm a mystery. I think "Bermuda Drain" is great. Khlyst are really cool. Definitely listen to that album again. I have the CD and the packaging is great too.

    You ever listen to Khlyst?

Got "And, Still Wanting" and "The History of Aids". Unfortunately, no "Cocaine Death" on vinyl. :( Yeah. I find it funny that Fernow uses rape lyrics in his black metal and then love poems in Prurient. It's very disturbing yet very honest in emotion. I love the tension they create between passionate music and disturbing themes. Yes, I know what you mean. People don't want to expand the horizons of music. I also love new Darkthrone, and Peste Noire. I love Darkthrone because they rock out and PN because Famine is questioning the way black metal works while being true to its spirit in a way. Watain is kinda goofy but I like their music. I saw them live, but actually found them disappointing. Still bought a Watain shirt, hehe. I like Deathspell Omega as well because I honestly think they have an intelligent binding of philosophy and music that is very emotionally and aesthetically powerful. I've only heard Stabat Mater's song from "Crushing the Holy Trinity". Might check 'em out.

Yeah, totally. :) By the by, I have two Prurient LPs coming in the mail. Super excited! Have you listened to Ash Pool btw? Raw black metal by Fernow and the dude from Alberich.

I have both "Musick to Play in the Dark"s and "Scatology" and have listened to the latter, and the first of the former. I also have "The Ape of Naples".

Your post is basically 100% what I'd want from someone whose friend request I'd accept. Thanks, you have good charts too! Super compatability and all. What's yr favorite Coil album? I recently downloaded some Roman Cross to get a second opinion, but because I download too much I haven't listened yet... Fernow is in general pretty great though. I have two Prurient LPs and an Ash Pool tape coming in the mail. Feel free to loot my SLSK library any time.

That's a really cool association as well. Some portions of that record remind me of that part in Stalker where they're walking through those circular tunnels. As you said, I think that these connections are very interesting and intriguing. Speaking about Alien, what are your thoughts on Prometheus? - Ah, that's cool that you've seen some pictures from the tour. It was really an amazing time, I still feel weird about the fact that I had the chance to travel with them. They're such an amazing group of people.
