my veckatimest vinyl FINALLY arrived. my god. but it's soooo much better than the leak, I'm in love (again). here we go magic played..umm...tunnelvision for sure, (I was pretty high for this part so I kind of forget) and I THINK they played only pieces and fangela. and maybe a couple new ones? it was all incredible.

no pictures, sorry. :( all I have is a polaroid camera, and its kinda big to bring into the concert. but it was THE FUCKING BEST CONCERT. you need to see them! my god it was perfect. feist even came out for service bell and two weeks. here we go magic is the best opening act I've ever heard, probably. and gbear just didnt do a single thing that wasn't awe-inspiring. (also holy fuck that fever ray cover is incredible, going to see her in october! amazing find...where'd you get it?)

I DO have a t-shirt with a bear on it! But I'm worried it's a black bear. :/ Going to go check. And yeah, even 19 is bad. 18 just makes sense all around. But yeah, we all just say "at least we arent americans".

that's just awful. completely snubbed... well... i felt like ac was low energy, but the set list definitely had some strong points (i.e; "comfy in nautica" & "bleed/slippi") the entire thing is posted here: http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=AF2A6E36EF9D560D&search_query=animal+collective+roseland . i have to say Grizzly Bear put on a much better show. they played veckatimest almost entirely (- "all we ask"... which is sadly my favorite from the album) but also had time to throw in some yellow house ("colorado", "knife", "little brother" & "he hit me" for the encore.) the aladdin was a great place to see them due to the fact that everyone, for the most part, was seated. & apparently they chose portland for the first show of the '09 tour.

I feel like shedding a hundred tears for you. And my god, the lineup looked PERFECT this year. I teared up looking at the pictures...sigh. Next year I vow to be there. And you'll see those bands in the future, they aren't going anywhere. :/ But I am seeing grizzly bear this friday! (sorry.)
