Exactly. I'm honest about my scrobbling, even if it is crap that is accidentally scrobbled from a compilation, like Bryan Adams. ;)

most welcome. you should try some of the other tracks on that same album and the 2-disc version released in the states features Anvil Vapre ep on the 2nd disc. you may enjoy some of those tracks as well. cheers :¬)

"there fore my reference to free form jazz so much commercial sophistication for the sake of forgetting about does who deserve much more attention" -- i don't quite understand this statement. can you clarify a little more? as far as Ash by Gridlock...1999 or so. that track's rhythm is especially influenced by artists like Ae. refer to works on Ae's Tri Repetae release from 95. especially the track Dael ..the beat is quite similar to Ash AAMOF. to understand why Ae is worth of such 'recognition', as I've stated earlier, you must have been in on the big Warp records wave back in the 90's when Ae blew apart preconceptions of what intelligently constructed techno could sound like. i was lucky to catch the wave. all of this happened years before Gridlock came out of their dark phase to adopt a more refined sound...EVEN THOUGH Gridlock atmospheres have always been the drawing factor of me personally.. the beats a very nice indeed, but the atmosphere in a Gridlock track is admittedly great.

nice. yes, further is quite nice. i have that one packed away in a box somewhere. isn't it more noisey like early dryft? i cannot recall actually. i will recommend you some Ae but not by album.. by track. if i were to refer by album title then i would most certainly refer you to the earliest works (but not every single track is worthy of praise). you tell me which Ae dis-impressed you and i will beggin from that point

i should also say, while we are knee-deep in comparing the two entities... aE have much more experienced the mutilisation of sound and experimentation of rhythmic sequences than Gridlock have ever dreamed. but yes,.. much structure and space in their work. very good in the ears and heart...esp. traces

the "chaos" remains a structure. often, with Ae (like weather patterns ;) ) it takes a couple listens to HEAR the "structure" so that our symmetry-craving human brains can accept it for music. sometimes it is the movement of the space around the rhythm that generates the hypnotic qualities behind Ae. it is often so as well that one must hear a track a couple times to get a sense of "melody". Ae is advanced listening. i don't say that to mean that it takes an advance over-intelligent listener to appreciate the music...rather that it is not something that may first be realised as fantastic well-modeled "structures" until the listener's pattern-craving need has been met after several listens because the brain has had a chance to process what it is actually experiencing. as for gridlock, as i stated earlier,... i'm a little burned-out on them. i listened for a long time, although i never felt that they were better than Ae at any point IMO. they are good and i listen time to time.

Tjenare. Mvh Olof.

Brought to life on the small island Gotland, which ain't populated by the most musically open minded people on earth perhaps.

Male.. this scene is rather dominated by the male sex, which is very sad,
Christina Sealey of Orphx and Andrea Börner of
Morgenstern is grandeus female names and i hope there'll be much more successful female producers, and listeners..

though living in a freaking clean and safe surrounding; i carve for distopic media, being closer to agriculture than coal mining; i still adore the structures of wast rusting limestone smashers, i guess I'll always long for perspective.

without the right music in my ears every now and then, i get deeply depressed, for example; my job at an airport, it ain't serving other than the well shewed Swedish pop that people always hear on the radio. it damage me in the longterm if i can't go home, log on to my terminal, plug in my headphones and just adore the masters of digital rhythms and rusting beauty.

bit of a personal goal is to be as open minded as possible to everything, yet i can not deny it's hard not to despise some peoples taste of media, they have never tried to dig deeper into anything, just enjoying what's served. never even trying to interest them self in new sensations..

but everything is comprehended when your reaching ages of mine and beyond, of course i understand why people think noise is abrasive, it's noise after all, even if it is so bloody tasty.

I relay rely enjoy sharing my music taste with anyone dumb enough to listen, so if you're interested don't wait to ad me on msn [by: christoffer_aka_konstruktor@hotmial.com] or send me an digital hint here and I'll sample you some high quality noise.
