Ik zie dat je in november naar die Thurston Leonardo gast gaat van Sonic Youth. Wie is die andere band?

I havent watched a lot of films lately, but the only remarkable that comes to me mind is Wild Strawberries and the Phantom Carriage. I'll soon be looking for the KTL score for the latter.

Yeah, my city were the pioneers on these riots thing. I went to some, but now the protestants are misunderstanding what is the purpose of it and are hating each other (its everything I wouldnt like to see ever). We wanted a better bus quality, but then a LOT of nationalists "joined" our cause and are distorting everything (except for the protests on the Confederations Cup). Now it is mostly a hate fest on fascist nationalist people against all the other kind of protestants. I'm waiting for the posers manifestants to leave so I can join again, I don't want to hear the national anthem while fighting to put it down.

The new John Hopkins is really good. What do you mean by "Do you have riots?" ?

Hey, I'm actually glad you enjoyed Unwound! I think they are one of the best bands ever, not just for their music, but for their attitudes, constant touring, playing at all-ages club.. I think thats just awesome! You might also enjoy Repetition and Challenge for a Civilized Society (both Unwound albums). Both are still on the post-hardcore line, but Challenge follows on a more instrumental and experimental path.. its like a post-hardcore version of Leaves.. even tho it was released before! And thanks for your recommendations, I'll look for Codeine, Mulatu Astatke and Squarepusher asap the donwload finish!

Do you have any recommendations? Also, happy (LATE!) new year :D

Hey, sorry for the extremely late response. For John Zorn, I recommend Bar Kokhba, it was released before The Circle Maker and its quite more peaceful than it, but still have the jewish atmosphere. Did you knew that its Marc Ribot the one responsible for the guitar in both albums? His tunes are indeed amazing, and even on live performances he is there. For more oriental jazz, I also recommend Le pas du chat noir from Anouar Brahem (he is tunisian), his music is tagged as Chamber Jazz and Arabic Jazz. I can't tell much about it, but I really enjoy the music, its very relaxing. For albums on other genres, I would recommend The Argument (Fugazi), The Terror (the brand new album by The Flaming Lips) and Exai (Autechre). I havent been listening much to new music lately, even tho I feel that I should do, I've been feeling completely comfortable with my Stereolab and Stars of the Lid.

Gif is trouwens van Seinfeld. Kramer maakt een Polaroid van zichzelf, haha. Had je vast herkend als die duidelijker was. Tof dat John Maus bevalt. Broeder Dieleman is helemaal mijn nieuwe hype nu.

We Must Become The Pitiless Censors Of Ourselves'. Duistere muziek met synthesizers all over the place en Kraftwerk-like vocals. Erg vet. Elk nummer is raak op deze plaat.

Raad mij eens een toffe plaat aan die ik nog niet ken! Check mijn library of ik er al naar geluisterd heb. Dan doe ik hetzelfde, als je geïnteresseerd bent.

Simply because we share musical taste. It's always good to meet like mindeds I find, in the hope that we can share new music.

Beautiful film for sure, it's really worth a watch, though in my opinion it lacked a significant amount of substance, drags a bit.

(...). From Oren Ambarchi I just tried Grapes from the State, and liked very much, maybe you should try this track and see if it pleases you, reminded me of Jim O' Rourke. I also tried an "arabic jazz" album, full of tango and erik satie, you might enjoy. I'm failing to hard on listening to The Seer! I think I should download it now, thanks for remembering me of it, the fact that they long tracks (32 minutes, rawr!) excites me, is this really Gira's masterpiece? By the way, I finally managed to stick up with my friends to think about launching an EP, we'll try to deliver it by December-January (got enough time for a 1-hour+ recording, but each composition are sounding very different from the others, so we are really worried about it, we want to make everything sounds consistent)
