yo. check out the new self-titled album by Fang Island. i read about them with the description "Imagine if Dan Deacon and the Hold Steady teamed up to write a self-help rock album. It would probably sound a lot like this." i back that description.

went over the word limit last one: 7. I really do need to get into Neutral Milk Hotel. I'm on a strict no-new-music diet until after exams though because i'm pretty sure i waste hours upon hours sitting like a rock and analyzing song lyrics.. bahh

ahaha since you messaged in numbers, i shall respond in a similar fashion: 1. I am terrified of scrobbling, i'm not sure why but i'm pretty sure my itunes is one of the most personal things i 'own' and i've always hated people knowing what i listen to most... i listen to things on repeat a lot lol. so i think i'm going to stick to turning on my little scrobbler application every once in awhile. maybe i'll warm up to it.. 2. Loving all of those bands. 3. My child's name is going to be elliott. Boy or girl. Actually. 4. I haven't listened to their new album as much as i should (it's definitely not as addictive as their last ones) but i do know that i adore the song Ulysses. 5. I feel like you probably definitely won't like laura marling but she sings me to sleep every night and her bitter depressive lyrics greatly appeal to me. i also wish i had accomplished half of what she has by her age. 6. Folk is my life.

so, i noticed you said you felt as if you were missing out with Laura Marling, this is my confirmation. also, get all the These Arms are Snakes, I downloaded the rest and so far so awesome. and as for Loveless, individual tracks are hard for me to tell which one I like best because I don't pay attention, i just put it on, close my eyes and listen. but i put on To Here Knows When, I definitely agree that it is one of my favorite parts of the album. like i already said though, it still needs more listening.

yoo dude. i've listened through loveless i'd guess around 8-10 times so far, and i agree, the first time it was a little overwhelming with all of the white noise. but not overwhelmed in a bad way, more in a compelling way so that i'm compelled to keep listening to get everything out of it that i can. so far i really like it, but i feel like i need to listen to it more to get the full experience. first impressions = sick. i still can't form a full opinion yet (i probably could, but i like i already said, i feel like i need to listen more first). as for jammin, unfortunately today is sunday, so that doesnt sound possible. we'll have plenty of time to jam in the summer though. happy easter man

yo. i stumbled across Noah and the Whale last night and their album Peaceful the World Lays Me Down. they're indie folk thats kinda chill and dancy at the same time. their wikipedia likens them to neutral milk hotel and says they cite their influences as folk and punk. peaceful came out in 2008
