Hi! Excuse my uber slow reply, I always forget about little ol' and have been incredibly busy lately! Planning to visit most of Northern Europe this year rolled together with Iceland whereas last year it was France, Italy, Switzerland & Germany which was class :) Been anywhere awesome yourself recently? A couple of pennies is still better than nothing :p How were Mastodon & TDEP btw? I REALLY REALLY REALLY (REALLY) wanted to go but work commitments got in the way, gutted! x

I'm certainly feeling like a green eyed monster right now! In some ways I feel bad for cranking down the number of gigs I go to lately; while at uni the majority of my loans went go on train fares, gig tickets and drinks. *sigh* those were the days!! As much as I love gigs, traveling the world seems more important to me, it's like some switch in my clicked and my money got diverted elsewhere! I'm all for festivals though, hence why it's still my mission to go to one of the big ATP events this year. Hahahaha - is your ATP fund basically a penny bucket or something? ;) You're one up on me in any case! x

Phew, how was that gig anyway? I was dead strapped for cash and ended up missing that tour - REALLY wanted to see Lite! Not seen the MSW guys in a while too but I'm sure they're fedup of seeing me by now haha :) I know that feeling all too well but since when has 22 been old eh? I think we're both being a little melodramatic :P Hows the ATP fund shaping up btw?x

Hah, cheers - I appreciate the offer at least :) I've had a couple of gig birthdays over the years which is lucky since I'm not a big fan of simply going out and getting absolutely smashed anymore.... yup, sometimes I'm convinced there must be a grumpy old man trapped inside me, pulling all the strings!x

Totally agree with you there, although I've never lived near to London so I've yet to have that dilemma! Manchester Russian Circles gig is practically a sealed deal for me, playing on my birthday :) Only thing is depends on is the contents of my wallet hehe x

On first impressions, really good! Older material sort of reminds me of Mono which is definitely not a bad thing :)x

I'll take your word for it then, I'll assume that's your kind/subtle way of saying 'Birmingham is a big steaming shithole' :p Woah, never?! It's a visit I'd say, plenty of things to do but it just depends how much you like cities hah. It gets a thumbs up from me at least, give us a nudge if you head this way one day!! Glad you like them, definitely catch them live if you ever get the chance - they've only been getting better with every time I've seen them! Mooncake really doesn't ring a bell, I'll check them out and report back when I have miss! x

Yeah, the same goes for both of us I'd say - neither are exactly a brilliant accent to have :p Been to Birmingham very rarely so I probably don't have an accurate picture built up in my head - I still like it though! Oh yeah, what did you think to Vessels btw, any good? x

Well, if I had to ring a call centre I’d probably be happiest if it were a Brum, Irish or Scottish accent on the other end :p Even if all of those can be somewhat hard to understand sometimes haha! Anything like a manc or scouse accent is terrible and over the years it’s kind of rubbed off on me which I’m appalled at myself for, boooooo. I like Birmingham but the bit near the Custard Factory seemed dead rough, with plenty of drunken hobos loitering around... x

In some ways I think brum accents are funny & sorta friendly, although that definitely doesn't ring true with the stereotypical brummie :p A manc accent is just plain chav-y, I do sort of love this rainy city though so I'll stop bad mouthing it so much hehe x

Not that bad down there surely, probably beats Manchester hands down - especially in the accent department. Nothing worse than sounding like a manc haha! Best make it your mission to get to this year's Supersonic I guess, whilst it's still right under your nose :) x

All the best gigs & festivals always seem to take place ages away from anywhere I end up living, a cruel sense of justice right there haha *moan moan moan*. How you finding Birmingham this past half year anyway? Just out of curiosity, you been to Supersonic any other years in the past? I just wish I knew it existed years back, they've had some absolutely amazing lineups that i would have killed to see, I need a time machine or something. Fingers crossed for this coming year, last time was ace - the place we stayed at had a loads of musicians from the festival staying there too which was pretty cool! Ooops, I seem to be spamming up your page pretty severely :D x

Cheers for your kind offer :D If I end managing to go ahead with it I'll give you a wee nudge haha! I take it you live in the general Birmingham area then? I was there not so long ago for Supersonic festival towards the end of last year, much fun was had albeit the fact it was cold. as. fuck. Definitely going again if the lineup is promising :) x

Hahaha... saying statements like 'my manic headbanging days are over' makes me feel so pathetic and old! I agree nonetheless though. I wish you shitloads of luck with scavenging the money together for ATP though heh, I'd attempt saving up but I'll only end up not being able to resist and spending the money on something else. Although if the xmas atp Nightmare Before Christmas gets a good lineup this year then I might try extra hard :p JESUS - another thing for me sit here being annoyed and jealous about; I've never seen Pelican quite yet :( One day damnit, one day!! x

I think I got there pretty late on the day & since it was an all day event in Manchester I had no chance of getting to the front without sticking it out through all the 5/6 support acts hah. Worse thing was my neck the next day like you said though, thank god I don't do long hair and manic head banging anymore. Same - will have a mini SikTh binge now :) On another note - pretty insanely jealous of both of your planned gigs! I vow to finally go to an ATP festival this year for the first time although having about 200 quid going spare to do so is pretty unlikely... waaah! x

Christ – excitedly suggesting and asking a gazillion things at once, go me! I’ll try calm down :P I only ever caught them once just before they split up unfortunately, I remember getting battered to shit in the moshpit haha! Totally going to have to dig out my sikth hoodie now heh. x

Ooooh, so I did! Did you enjoy their album 'Gangs' from last year? Jesus I listened to that record obsessively heehee. How about Vessels? They seem like the sort of band you might enjoy too, 'Helioscope' from 2011 was brilliant too! Uhm yes, I'll stop with the recommendations now hah. Ahhh- I used to be such a MSW fanboy that I got thanked in the credits of Sing the Word Hope in Four-Part Harmony... surely a monument to my sadness haha. Not to dart between subjects too drastically but I think I should warn you, my radio might not be weird and somewhat confusing experience - sorry in advance!! Oh and just a final, little obscure question, did you ever get to see SikTh live? I just noticed them in your charts and had a massive flash of nostalgia that's all haha :) x
