OK, I just u/l'd for you Screen Vinyl Image's album Interceptors, but you also need their EP The Midnight Sun. The title track to that EP is like nothing you've ever heard, and there is also a song called Black Leather Jacket, totally evil & thrilling. Gonna send Interceptors in a pm right now. I might be able to go see Ollie in March, yeah. I have to see about it, tho. The Big Pink, that is one band I am not thrilled with, and I did give their album a chance, listened a few times but did not feel it. The Dodos, if you are not thrilled with the songs from their first album, you might like their second album better. I group them together with Spoon, in my mind. Spkg of Spoon, do not forget: Transference comes out in about a month!! Jan 17th!!!! You'll get to hear a lot of songs from that new album when you see them in a few weeks!!!

I wish him a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Even tho it's sad without him. I just noticed: The Dodos' first album, Visiter, is here at Last for full plays. And I know that SVI has all their songs here for full plays. Just a little preface: The Dodos have an amazing singer and an almost tribal, African drum sometimes, but they are very much indie-guitar-rock. Screen Vinyl Image, completely different than that: lost of synth, ghostly vocals, almost industrial drumming.

Almost a year ago, probably January, Rez sent me SVI's album Interceptors, and I happen to be going to see them play with some other cool NYC bands (SVI is actually from DC but they play NY a lot), so I took the d/l & listened & it was instant *love*. I gave them glowing reviews :-) Glad you are feeling even a little bit better. Today's weather sucks, even if you are NOT sick. Say, do you know that San Fran band called The Dodos? Wiggy has gotten me hooked on them.
