By the way, you might be interested in meeting kb7clx, who despite being blind from birth is one of the most prolific and involved people I've met on last.fm... he is multilingual and has a great knowledge of and fondness for many musicks from many cultures, and has lately quick-studied the fractal music software MusiNum which I have used to write or at least seed my music here, and has become the delightful artist Facial Vision.

Thanks for accepting my Friend request! I invite you to join my Friends-only group Chez Musinum, a hub for artists, group leaders, and passionate listeners. If you have an artist presence here, it will be connected to the group (or one of two sister groups, depending on listenership), and your music will stream on one or more of our Artist Radios. As an added inducement, you can be Minister of anything you like in our fanciful Chez Musinum Cabinet! Hope to see you there! To see all 17 groups I lead, check The Radio Room. None of my groups is specifically ethnomusical, but some skew an various directions: Deep Listening tends to lean Tibetan, among other things, New Edge has quite a bit of Turkish music, SlowSound and its two sister group contain a lot of Brazilian, Cuban, and, increasingly, Swedish folk, and Professor Longhair, the heady blend that makes up the New Orleans sound.

Interesting post; could be more legible as a diagram, though. Btw. it’s hard to find people who even heard of Hába nowadays, so keep on listening!
