Comment Tagguer ses Fichiers avec Picard
Ce petit guide de débutant décrit comment vous pouvez tagguer vos fichiers en utilisant PicardTagger. (Téléchargement)
1. Dans le menu 'View' cocher 'File Browser' pour activer l'explorateur de fichiers.
2. Sélectionnez un dossier ou des fichiers et faites le/les glisser dans le dossier "Unmatched Files".
3. Picard va essayer d'identifier vos fichiers automatiquement (les noms passeront de gris à noir). Si les albums sont reconnus ils apparaîtront ensuite dans la fenêtre de droite. Vous pouvez passer à l'étape 7 si tous vos titres sont reconnus automatiquement mais comme vous êtes a priori un nouvel utilisateur de Picard, je vous conseille de lire quand même les étapes intermédiares.
De plus l'opération de reconnaissance automatique peut prendre beaucoup de temps (selon la puissance de votre ordinateur et le nombre de fichiers à analyser), une fois le principe de fonctionnement du logiciel compris, je recommande de passer à l'action suivante sans attendre la reconnaissance.
Cliquez sur le bouton "Cluster" de la barre d'outils pour regrouper les fichiers par album.
4. Sélectionnez un album dans le dossier "Clusters" et cliquez sur le bouton "Lookup" (la baguette magique) dans la barre d'outils pour chercher l'album dans la base de données. Selon vos précédentes métadonnées, l'album apparaîtra dans la fenêtre de droite.
5. Si rien ne se passe lorsque vous cliquez sur la baguette magique, cliquez sur le bouton "Lookup" en bas à droite. Votre navigateur par défaut devrait s'ouvrir et vous permettre de trouver le bon album manuellement.
6. Faites attention au nombre de titres de chaque album, et repérez celui que vous avez. Cliquez sur l'icone

7. Déplacez le dossier de l'album vers la fenêtre de droite où votre album vient d'apparaître, si cela ne se fait pas automatiquement.
8. Selon vos précédentes métadonnées, Picard essayera d'établir une correspondance entre vos fichiers et les titres de l'album. L'ordre est vert, jaune, orange, rouge, où vert est la meilleure correspondance. Si vous voyez beaucoup de rouge et d'orange, c'est peut-être que Picard se trompe, ou que vos fichiers n'avaient pas assez de précédentes métadonnées pour établir une meilleure correspondance.
Si c'est le cas, il est recommandé de cliquer sur un titre et de comparer les métadonnées en utilisant les panneaux "Original Metadata" et "New Metadata" en bas de la fenêtre du logiciel. Si il y a une mauvaise correspondance vous pouvez déplacer les titres et les mettre au bon endroit.
9. Quand vous êtes satisfait avec les correspondances, sélectionnez l'album que vous voulez sauvegarder et cliquez sur le bouton "Save" dans la barre d'outils pour sauvegarder les données dans les fichiers audio.
10. Une encoche verte signifie que le fichier est correctement sauvegardé.

Links with last.fm protocol (lastfm://) have disappeared from the website, but I make this article for those (like me) who still find it very pratical to listen to radio in Last.fm client instead of let your browser opened all the time.
The most suitable option is to type directly your link in the address bar of your browser (tested only in Internet Explorer 7 & Firefox 3, but normally works in every browser)
Every link must begin with lastfm://, like a http:// in front of every website address. After you can add:
- group/GroupName : it will play the group members radio
ex: lastfm://group/Last.fm
- user/UserName/personal : it will play the user library radio
ex: lastfm://user/mr_maxis/personal
- user/UserName/neighbours : it will play the user neighbours radio
ex: lastfm://user/mr_maxis/neighbours
- user/UserName/recommended : it will play the user recommended artists radio
ex: lastfm://user/mr_maxis/recommended
- user/UserName/playlist : it will play the user playlist (it only plays the "first" playlist which means the one displayed in the Flash player of a user profile)
ex: lastfm://user/mr_maxis/playlist
[edit] There is an other way to play the playlists, when you have a playable playlist (45 playable tracks by 15 different artists) you have the link "Play this playlist" which returns you the flash player. In this link you have the PlaylistID which can be used like this : playlist/PlaylistID
