Yeah, it might have been a bit much to have a camera a foot from his head the entire show. Did you have any favorite songs? I think Soft Revolution was my favorite. Of course, I'm a sucker for stop/starts in music, so that probably had something to do with it. And giant build ups. Have you heard Glosoli by Sigur Ros? That song has probably has my favorite build-up/release in any song ever. I'm hoping the Decemberists get their album mixed soon. It'd be real cool if they got it out by early next year.

That's super freaking cool. She remembered you after two years? That's amazing! You must have left an impression. How did the pictures of the band turn out? Have you seen the video for the new pornographer's mutiny, I promise you? Toward the end Neko Case gives lessons on how to knife someone: http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/node/146014 Have you heard that the Decemberists are going to call their new album hazards of love? I'm excited.

Hey, don't worry about it. The show was amazing! i was actually surprised; I expected it to be good, but not at the level it was. I thought the lights/fog/flowers added a lot. Did you manage to get any roses? I was just standing there and one fell right into my arms. It makes a pretty cool (albeit temporary) souvenir. How did you manage to talk to them? Just hang around for a bit? What did you guys talk about? Did you get a shirt?

That paper sounds like fun. After getting some of of a project done today, I am no longer afraid of my computer architecture class. Did you ever get around to listening to any Radiohead? If not, I can give you a copy of OK Computer tomorrow. It must be heard! If we can't find each other, you can give me a call at 5035378423. Excited for the show? I'm hoping that they play One More Night. That song is super good. I'm also hoping that the presidential debate is broadcast on the radio, that way I can listen to it on the way down to the concert.

Let me know when you put those pictures up. I grabbed a few more of the Decemberists singles, and you are right, Record Year is amazing. Though the Hey Judeish bit of Valerie Plame is pretty spiffy. Should be fun live. Getting swamped with homework yet? My computer architecture class is laying it on pretty thick. I'm jealous you'll get to see the debate in non rerun form. I'm not sure how crazy the fans of Stars are, so I don't know how early (or not early) I should get there Any ideas?

Yeah, I thought Obama did better than McCain too. McCain had a few too many non sequiturs (Eisenhower thing, really?) Thinking about it, I don't think the VP debate is going to be all that interesting. They aren't actually interacting with each other, just answering prepared questions, and they are both perfectly capable of talking, so I don't think much is going to happen. I'll watch it anyway though, I'm planning catching a rerun after work. I'll have to track down those other singles. Oh, how did the pictures of Okkervil River you took turn out? So I'm going to see Stars next week; I'm excited. Though I just realized it means missing the next presidential debate. Reruns again.

Was is it general pysc, or something specific? General classes are usually offered all the time, so I wouldn't worry all that much. What did you think of the debate? I thought it was pretty boring; neither of them really offered anything new, and they barely interacted. I did like when they both ignored the moderator though. I laughed. The VP debates should be interesting, since I don't think Palin has any chance of doing anything close to "winning" the debate. Should be fun. So I have a crappy live version of Zoot, and listened to it about 8 times in a row today. I think I have an addiction. Yeah, I am super excited for a new album to. I heard Valerie Plame yesterday, and thought it was really good. Reminiscent of 16 military wives, I thought. That is the only one I've heard so far. What do you think of them?

Well, if you are going in with 40, you might as well ease into it. I'm taking 13 right now, but only 10 are required. I need 12 to be a full time student, and they don't have many 2 credit classes, so 13 it is. What did you drop? First day of class is over, and I'd say it went well. Nothing looks like it will be too hard. I wouldn't say the new Stars album is bad (and it is growing on me), but it isn't at the same level as SYOF. I'll check out some of those songs then. So I am seriously considering that concert. I have a paid day off of work I need to use, and it's either that or the VP debate on Thursday, and I'm sure CNN will have reruns of that for a couple days or so. That video is really good! A bit blurry, but the sound is fantastic. Did colin play Zoot when you saw him? I saw a video for it the other day, and I just love the chorus melody: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Co_ODdAisE&feature=related

Those classes sound like fun. How many credits is that? I'm also taking computer architecture, technical writing, and ancient history. Should be a pretty easy term, except for maybe the computer class, I guess I'll see tomorrow. Yeah, I only have one term left. Real world here I come. I've just heard Stars' newest two albums. I love set yourself on fire, but their newest isn't as good. It has some really good tracks on it, some are okay, and I can't stand "barricade." It's a slow ballad-type song that doesn't really go anywhere, and the lyrics bother me for some reason. As a whole, the album is pretty good. Have any favorite stars songs?

Yeah, the first day is the trickiest. I was always terrified that I'd show up to the wrong class. Only managed to do that once though, last year. It wasn't as bad as a thought. I don't start 'til tomorrow, though I did spend about an hour and a half in the library today, and got about 2 1/2 weeks worth of women's studies reading done. What classes are you taking? I am thinking about seeing Stars. I wanted to see them about a year ago, when they were around here last, but I didn't make it. You still going?
