    I actually had the Father John Misty album over a month before it came out. It leaked and a friend of mine sent it to me. I'm actually not a huge Fleet Foxes fan (I don't dislike them by any means but they bore me at times). I AM a huge fan of J. Tillman's solo works pre-FJM...I personally think the new album is perfection.

    I emailed a bunch of people but they wanted ridiculous prices for the tickets, over $100/ticket. Not worth it. I'll catch them next time.

    I'll change my MMJ status once I officially order my tickets. Especially with Neko opening, there is no way I would pass this up.:) Last August I dislocated my kneecap 3 days before the MMJ show. I was walking with a bad limp, but somehow managed to stand throughout the entire show. I could barely walk the next day, but it was worth it! I think I proved my dedication to rock 'n roll that night.

    I've been to what I feel is quite a bit of concerts this year, and I gotta say, My Morning Jacket in Station Square was not only easily the best one of 2010 (AND I even finally got to see my current favorite band, Built to Spill this year), but perhaps all time, dating back to my first concert in 1993: A 3WS sponsored festival in Three Rivers Stadium headlined by none other than Chuck Berry.

    what'd you think of broken social scene? i thought they were phenom. the female vocalist that they brought was totally legit and sounded almost as good as fesit on 7/4 (shoreline). the opening band impressed me as well.

    the ches-a-rena is about 20-25 minutes from downtown pgh. it's one exit before harmarville, two before RIDC park on rt. 28 (if that means anything to you). i've never been there for a show, but i hear it's a pretty nice venue (the avett brothers played there this year)

    at least it was a solid show. i'm just pumped to finally see MMJ in my hometown. and how crazy is it that the new pornographers are coming to the ches-a-rena? i used to go rollerskating there back in the day... pretty cool that it's becoming a legit venue.

    i had a great time! kind of wished that they played at least one song from 'the soft bulletin,' but still. all of the stuff they played from embryonic was pretty amazing & 'she don't use jelly' was a highlight. i also really liked fang island... they sold me when they gave that awkward shout-out to garfield artworks haha i'm so pumped about seeing MMJ in pittsburgh - it can't come soon enough!
