I guess I should preface this by clarifying "Best Radio DJ", as if we were getting into club action, I'd be more inclined along the lines of Diplo or James Lavelle. Peel's specialty was never the tight mix, but his compelling demeanor and endless energy for new slabs always inspired and my collection would be far narrower without him. Gone but never forgotten!

I first drank The FALL coolaid with 1983's Perverted by Language and have never looked back. You can waste your
energy trying to argue that they AREN'T the best band in the 'rock' categories, but it'll fall on deaf ears. NO ONE has ever approached the depth and madness of what MES and his infinite legions of support players and ex-wives have graced our airwaves with. The scary part of it all is, they've only gotten BETTER over time - and that's coming from someone who still LOVES Perverted by Language. You may doubt, but you will be wrong.
