And then after my first live experimental drone experience together with Thisquietarmy and some members of Labirinto, I realized that drone only interests me if seen live.
MP3/FLAC files just can't do the trick for me.
The show in its entirety:
Filmed by claudpeer
Muriel Curi (drums) and Ricardo Pereira (bass guitar) from Labirinto and Eric Quach (Thisquietarmy)

Mai 22 2013, 20h57Mon 20 May – Steven Wilson
So after a great weekend of progressive rock, krautrock and art rock together with The Central Scrutinizer Band, Nektar and Van der Graaf Generator at Virada Cultural 2013; Another surprising concert happened last Monday:
Steven Wilson, with a line up comprising only of jazz/rock superstars: Guthrie Govan on the guitars, Chad Wackerman on the drums and percussion, Nick Beggs on the bass guitar, Chapman stick, and backing vocals, Theo Travis on clarinet, flute and saxophone, and Adam Holzman on the keyboards, piano, minimoog and hammond organ.
I was amazed by such sympathetic artists and a great audiovisual spectacle.
Contrary to my original belief, Steven Wilson was rather nice, funny and talkative, engaging with the audience on numerous occasions, and inciting them to stand up, due to a -- at first -- seated public.
What a flabbergasting night. Looking forward to seeing 'em live again!

Mai 20 2013, 15h39The Brazilian 70's jazz/funk/soul band Azymuth was the 100th artist I'd ever seen live, out of 69 attended events back in 2011. (http://www.last.fm/user/memeco/journal/2011/05/02/4d0z44_100_different_artists_%27seen_live%27!)
2 years later, the 200th artist turned out to be the German prog rock/krautrock/space rock band Nektar, yesterday, at "Virada Cultural 2013", out of 122 events attended.
Despite the age of most of its members -- 3/4 of it consisting of musicians from the original line up --, they put on a very powerful psychedelic rock show yesterday.
In short: fantastic gig!
