That's really beautiful - did you write that? I like sometimes the sky just asks for too much. It's a pleasure to meet you :)

I've seen them twice in London (I lived there until last month) and I'm seeing them again here in Spain in two weeks :) They are amazing, Orlando's voice sounds beautiful live and it feels like they appreciate every fan in the venue. I hope you can see them soon! I love the new album and how their sound has changed, but 'Wall of Arms' will always be my favourite. Which one is your fave? :)

Ah Lego is such a good one. Definitely one of my faves. I think they're all good but have soft spots for First Love, Toothpaste Kisses, Wall of Arms, Seventeen Hands, Two Hands Holding, Glimmer, Forever I've know and the list goes on and on. Ever seen them live? I'm assuming you're in Edmonton. Always cool to know that there are Maccabees fans here. Don't see that everyday.

Probably their latest, "If I Don't Come Home You'll Know I'm Gone". I was just looking at concert listings for Edmonton and there's a bunch I wouldn't mind going to. I don't know if you'll get bored with all this folk rolk I listen to though ;) Basia Bulat, Dan Mangan, Rural Alberta Advantage, Two Hours Traffic... AHHH. Do you have any shows in mind? I should add you on facebook or something. I don't check this that often.

Nice! The Beatles are always a win. No I don't think they played that song. I don't know why I thought of it. Work was good. Here's a song by The Wooden Sky. I hope you like them

they are, but they are playing sonic boom... and since the amount of good bands is grossly minimal compared to shitty bands, i'm not going to go... i hope they have another tour shortly after though where it's just them and an opener, instead of a pretty lame festival put on by a really lame radio station.. the new album is good though, i wish i could just buy a ticket to their performance and not have to pay for the whole thing.

i'd say going into winspear or just dealing with ticketmaster would be easier.

Loved the Strokes since I was 12. But I have to say, Julian Casablancas' solo album tops everything. Ahaa. And the XX is pretty great, too.

yep! we got them the first day they were on sale, but didn't know the secret behind NOT using the winspear's website to buy them. so we're a bit further back than we wanted, but neither my friends nor i care. i just can't wait.

Sobre mim

when the night turns strobes in the canadian cold
i slide my hand into a cumbersome glove
doing my best to secure my straps
and the lump in my throat

wondering if the dreamworld has poured two cups of tea
and query why this crossroad of time and space picked me

the order is given through reverberating radio
waves to narrowing eyes turned stone
as we push into the darkest heat
and lonesome crackling kiln

the crimson wind laps this mask as i fire back heaving sweat
this is the meeting we agreed upon and one to never regret

"hit it!!"
