This is a time for cheese. I should know, I've always liked Mariah Carey's All I Want For Christmas Is You. I wear a hair-shirt for the rest of the year to make up for it :) A kool Yule to you!

Sorry, yet more shoutbox pollution. I sent this by the email option originally to avoid gatecrashing this :) but I'm not sure it always works on Last. So excuse if this is old news! A heads-up for you: there's a top selection of material touched by the hand of Curt Boettcher (ie plenty of Millennium, Association, Sagittarius + his own more obscure collaborations and own stuff, even an ad for Levi's, unusual tracks, quite possibly a few things you might not have managed to get ur hands on so far)… lots of interesting text too, if you're minded, including connections with the Beach Boys. (all free btw) http://ironleg.wordpress.com/2009/10/18/iron-leg-digital-trip-28-i-just-want-to-be-your-friend-the-sounds-of-curt-boettcher/ there's some awesome stuff on it. The Know-It-All by The Millenium is unbelievable. Okay, I'm outta here!

Okay, I've educated me with some Millenium. Tops. You know overall they didn't half remind me of Buy For Me The Rain by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. It's an all-time fave of mine (LastFM hasn't got the best version, I think YouTube might have it). Speaking of all time faves I've had Another Time by Sagittarius on heavy rotation for a long time. Do you listen to Gordian Knot at all? I've got a lot of psych & sunshine stuff to find out about and get into tho, i've come at it and all the 60s stuff from the Northern Soul side, this isn't my first language! Oh for crying out loud, i've just had a root and you into Lesley Gore and the Shangri-Las as well. That's just… unusual!

Yep, both's better, and wear sunscreen natch. I must listen to more of your stuff, it sounded really good — and hog your shoutbox less, and also some of the things u got here — I've never heard any Millenium at all. Or Simon Dupree. Luv Tommy James & The Shondells too tho, ahah.

haha yes I'm pretty passionate about that album. And I still haven't heard anything better than it.

I just listened to Black Doe just now, that's a heavy tune. And you're right, I couldn't hear any Beach Boys influence in that…! :A Voodoo-y, put me in mind of Dr John and Espers. And Thomas Hardy! Wessex voodoo.

You opened for Allen Toussaint??! Nice to know he's a gent in real life then, he seems to have that demeanor. Okay, listening to your stuff is next on my to-do list now. With the kind of things you listen to I think I'm genetically hard-wired to like it! :A

Sobre mim

If I was clever, I would have signed up here under some kind of pseudonym, so that it wouldn't be obvious when i'm tweaking my own wiki (heheh), but I didn't. On here, you'll see what my beau and I listen to, and a large amount of our own tunes. Please check out our excellent label Hand of Glory, home to The Outdoor Types, Adapter Adapter, David Ledden, and my stuff too Mary Epworth and The Jubilee Band. I love The Beach Boys.
