• The Cure week

    Jun 1 2009, 3h11

  • The siren songs

    Mai 24 2009, 3h01

On the last day of summer the sun shines bright
And we're walking through the woods
What if love is the greatest damn liar of all
Would you trust me with your life?

On the last day of summer the clouds are white
And I'm sitting by the lake
And she's singing my name, she's beckoning me
If I just lose myself for now
    For one day

I want to drown in her precious arms
I want to listen to the siren songs
She got me down into the water
And she got me holding on

And she's floating oh so peacefully
    As I'm watching from below
In the bluest water I ever saw
The palest body to be striped
    By the sun

I want to drown in her precious arms
I want to listen to the siren songs
She got me down into the water
And she got me holding on

So let me drown in those precious arms
With all my untouchabilities washed away
Let me for once be lost for reason
    Let me be lost
    For words

    Anywhen - The Siren Songs
This is what can be called perfection.

  • If life was a movie (jueguito)

    Abr 24 2009, 4h00

Le robo este meme a Michelle, ya que gracias a ella acabo de conocer el maravilloso placer de perder el tiempo con mi iTunes.

If your life was a movie, what would the soundtrack be?
    1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc)
    2. Put it on shuffle
    3. Press play
    4. For every event, type the song that’s playing
    5. When you go to a new question, press the next button
    6. Don’t lie and try to pretend you’re cool…

    Opening Credits: Day 3
Instrumental, soft and mellow. Somehow appropiate for what seems to be either a sad movie, or one settled in the outer space.

    Waking up: Scentless Apprentice
Someone has waken me up with a spectacular noise. I get really, really pissed off and just scream
"Go away, go away, go awaaaaay"
This is not going to be a good day/life.

First day of college: Sound and Vision
I´m certainly eager to learn, ask questions, wonder. Prepared for whatever comes next. That obviously includes getting over my solitude.
"Don´t you wonder sometimes about sound and vision?"

Falling in love: Sex Is Violent
Aw. My falling-in-love is mediated by a traumatic sex experience, which also included someone else's murder and many reporters all around. I end up believing love is only an excuse for nasty, useless pain. Only pain.
"Sister's not a virgin anymore. Her sex is violent"

Kiss scene - Part II b
I kiss some casual love during a piano concert. It is not specially romantic, not specially fun, not specially anything. It is more like a dull, monotonous kiss *although the concert is quite something*.

Fight song - Wind Up Workin' In A Gas Station
After having been through many crises, I finally find the courage to speak my mind. I have a huge fight with the ass**** and insult him, saying that, with his education, he's going to end up working on a gas station.
"Better make a decision, don't be a moron, keep your position"

Breaking up - Another Brick In The Wall - Pt. 2
Funny song for a breakup. Maybe it gives me ideas and the strength to say: no more control, no more repression in the name of love, no more submission, no more.
"We don't need no thoughts control"

    Graduating college - Twilight
Apparently, I fall in love during my graduation and, for the first time in my life, I feel things can be different. I ask him to meet me at twilight and I'm left waiting (well, at least it seems I graduated).
"Each morning I dream of twilight and wait for your glow"

My big break - one step inside doesn't mean you
My movie-life is quite a manipulative drama. After I think I can manage to succed, I'm left without illusions again. My world is always misunderstood and I'm left out of everthing that's valuable. So my big break is more like my big break-down. Plus, I'm really angry at this point.
"I will never read your stupid map. So don't call me incomplete. You're the freak"

Mental breakdown - Sky Fits Heaven
I think I'm happier being crazy. I begin hallucinating, hearing wise-man's voices, predicting the future and "following the light".
"Traveling down my own road, watching the signs as they go. I think I'll follow my heart, it's a very good place to start"

Driving song - Born to Be Wild
Awesome! I escape the mental hospital, take a car, and go looking for adventure. I fire some guns, embrace everything that comes my way, get wild.
"Get your motor runnin', head out on the highway. Looking for adventure and whatever comes our way"

Flashback - Still Crazy After All These Years
I meet again, without planning it, with my old "boyfriend". We talk about the past and heal some issues. Flashback happens. Although I have no plans of getting back with him, we happily realize we're still "crazy, after all these years".
"I met my old lover on the street last night... and we taliked some old times, and we drank ourselves some beers."

Getting back together - Bullet Proof
No thanks. I'm wearing a bullet-proof vest against love. It has caused enough pain.

Wedding (damn it, I don't want to) - Trains
I consider the possibility of getting married, and I believe I'm in love (although I don't accept it). I finally discourage marriage as a mere passing choice. As something that's just "slipping away", although deep inside I want him to "find me a way to make it stay".

Birth of child - These Are the Days of Our Lives
Having a(n unwanted) child brings some good and some bad memories. I recall how life was and I wonder how life's going to be for that newly born being. Some melancholic thoughts cross by.
"These are the days of our lives, they've flown in the sweetness of time. These days are all gone, but some things remain when I look and I find no change"

    Paying dues - Wrecking Ball
I... eh, think I haven't made up my mind yet about paying my dues. Even though I have no pressure, I have no support either.
"Nobody warned you, nobody told you to make up your mind"

Moment of triumph - Guess I'm Doing Fine
How sad. Seems my moment of glory is being dumped and pretending I'm alright. Trying to leave the past behind.
"It's only lies that I'm living. It's only tears that I'm crying. It's only you I'm loosing. Guess I'm doing fine".

    Final battle - Jigsaw Puzzle
My final battle is as dull and melodramatic as my life. Since I don't have anything to fight about, I just lie on the floor, waiting for anything to happen and seeing the world go by. Watching how people have something to live for and I don't.
"I'm waiting so patiently, lying on the floor. I'm just trying to make this jigsaw puzzle, before it rains anymore"

Death scene - The Talking Drum
Another instrumental, soft and mellow tune reminds the viewers that dying is beggining again *as in the opening credits of the film*.

Funeral Scene - Venus in Furs
Great. My uneventful and terribly manipulative-melodramatic life finally finds rest for a thousand years.
"Taste the whip, now plead for me"

    End credits - Between Days
The world seems to stay the same after my death. It shows itself as a fragile tension between meaning and senselessness, company and loneliness, colors, places, people, music. Dot, dot, dot.
"Where what's dead comes alive, there's a long and lonely ride"
