Anyone with plenty of Oneida and Guided By Voices plays is alright with me. Glad you dig SBBS man, that's really great. Always hard to know how many people are into it and how many just look, but that's great thanks. I run it with a guy called Ali, on lasty as alihill, and we just do it for kicks. Also, I'm going to second a lot of Rog's (shoenburger) kraut suggestions, but particularly Harmonia and Brainticket. Brilliant records.

oo I forgot about BfS. To be honest, I wish I could just have 7 photos of Smash Mouth. And, indeed, I still feel like both you and the love of your life look in your twenties.

It is becoming easier for them to manipulate people, too, now that soundbyte politics are becoming more prominent at the expense of substantied polices. It's difficult not to be worried about the future of politics sometimes. Some Krautrock worth hearing: 'Echo' by A. R. & Machines. It is great, but hardly anybody has heard of it because it hasn't ever had a reissue. 'Cottonwoodhill' by Brainticket. The original LP came with the ingenious warning: "Only listen to this once a day. Your brain might be destroyed!". A few more: La Düsseldorf, Harmonia (first album in particular), Amon Düül (I like Psychedelic Underground as much as anything by the infinitely more popular AD II), Popol Vuh (Nosferatu is essential listening), Kluster (Cluster are great, but these early records with Conrad Schnitzler are overlooked and amazing) and Guru Guru. Some of those aren't very obscure, but they all deserve more recognition than they get. (Sorry for the huge wall of text. Shoutboxes need paragraphs.)

Whoa, you really are 31? Jesus Christ. You look like you're 22. Haha, it makes everyone laugh.

I think Person Pitch is pretty good (there is far too much reverb on the vocals for my liking, though), so I won't join the anti-AnCo backlash just yet. I know what you mean about Berlusconi trying to use it to gain momentum. That's exactly what the BNP did with the whole Nick Griffin on Question Time / Nick Griffin getting egged stories that have been in the news so much this year. "OH NO THE NASTY LIBERALS ARE BULLYING US", etc. It's amazing that people can be fooled by that type of thing.
