well their most wellknown, and truth be told best, record is Catharsis In Crisis. in my upcoming list of the decade it's about 12th. all their top tunes are definitely on that record.

Thanks, Maddix, I'll get on to it: the clock turned full-circle as I tried to input your tracks and artists on Itunes - a nightmare. Yeah, I'm enjoying it. As Giddy says, it a game of two halves (though I would tend to disagree as to which half is the stronger) .

By the way Maddix, "Habeas Corpses (Draconian Love)" is by El-P. Just took a sneaky peek as to how far you'd got, and noticed that you had the "l" - which should be lower case - in the wrong place. Also, "Hysteria" is probably just listed under Mark Stewart on Last.FM. I'm sure it'll grow on you: he's amazing.

yeah Cambridge is quite the scrotum to get to innit? i'd have to stay at some grotty train station for about 4 hours on a cold December night if I went solo which would be real lame. quite a way by road as well, innit? idk. ETIQUETTE live though? can i really miss that opportunity?

maddix: casiotone for the painfully alone live - worth the trip to cambridge? he's one of my faves EVER and i was gonna try and get him to come to Lowestoft or Norwich, but by the time I'd sorted out whether it would be possible and discussed it with my dad (he was major PISSED about monotonix) the whole tour was booked and i was :'(. and he's been playing ETIQUETTE in full on recent tours. so I wanna see him, but i remember you saying he was real shit live?

Hi. I just read your post on Broken Family Band's page. Is it true the upcoming dates are their last? Terrible news if it's true...

Me again. I didn't want to carry on about Morrissey on a thread dubbed "The finest records of the decade", as his name was appearing far too often - and I don't think that's deserved. I do speak as a former Moz sycophant (and still a fan of some of the older material). Similarly, I didn't want to be perceived as a "Ringleader..." champion, as it's pretty average, but feel it's less lazy than "...Quarry". He had about seven years to write it, and came up with such painfully crass titles as "America is not the world" - wit, eh? The single quip in "I will see you in far-off Places" ("May your god bestow protection upon, and, if the USA doesn't bomb you...) is far more imaginative and striking. "Irish Blood" is good" (musically and lyrically sharp), but plodding abominations like "You know I couldn't last" (which he's done multitudinous times before) detract from its merits. Realistically, it would just about make my top 500. I know you disagree, but I like to discuss music in detail.

Sobre mim

This only really scrobbles the stuff i listen to via the computer. I don't have and ipod or anything fancy like that so anything I listen to out and about is a mystery. Oh and until someone invents a plugin for my record player all my vinyl plays will remain unscrobbled also.
