Just curious as to what some people might think. In my opinion, the 5 albums below (in no particular order) have been my favourites this year and I'd just like your opinion on which one (if any) you would classify as "Album of the Year"
A - Breaking Benjamin - Dear Agony
B - Alestorm - Black Sails at Midnight
C - Lamb of God - Wrath
D - Marduk - Wormwood
E - Candlemass - Death Magic Doom
Well, they're my five favourites what are your opinions? Let me know.
Also, some honourable mentions:
Chimaira - The Infection;
Gackt - Slo-Pachinko Gladiator Evolution Original Soundtrack;
Korpiklaani - Karkelo;
Lacuna Coil - Shallow Life;
Lily Allen - It's Not Me, It's You and;
Static-X - Cult of Static

Lacuna Coil and Static-X don't deserve those mentions :x And I have yet to hear the new Breaking Benjamin album >< I'll get that soon along with Three Days Grace, Flyleaf and Miranda Lambert -

So if you think "Shallow life" is worth a mention, then Stream of Passion's "The flame within" would deserve a Top 3 Position, in my humble opinion. By miles the best female-fronted Metal-Album of the year. Epica might follow with their "Design your universe" but I think it's a bit behind their previous one, so maybe a Top 5 contender. Oh and not to forget Eluveitie's "Evocation" =)
