i have to get one thing off my shoulders.

as some of you might know, the last.fm streaming radio service will soon require a paid subscription in most countries. but not in UK, US and Germany. this has stirred a lot of controversy and anger and even accusations of racism towards last.fm service. i just want to note, that the reason last.fm radio will soon cost real money has nothing to do with race or nation. instead it probably has everything to do with the copyright laws in those certain countries and the way they pay royalties to the labels and artists.

however it still does suck donkey balls.

Update! It turns out that only in those countries do ad revenues actually cover the cost of the service. That is the reason. Still no racism.

Here it is. It is claimed that RIAA has obtained some user listening data connected to the recently leaked U2 Album. Though that's just a small step for RIAA, it's one heck of a giant loss for user privacy. Should we be worried?

I have listened to rap for years. But in those past weeks, I fell in love with it again. I remembered that passion I had years ago. Like when it was all so new and classy, cool and sassy. Mysterious and original.

European rap. Especially Fintelligens, Каста, Looptroop, Saïan Supa Crew, Sniper, Timbuktu. Lovely. I'm feeling so '04 again.

omfg, my open mind index just fell from 111 to 94. damn you, you delicious, delicious hip-hop music.

I really don't like the new last.fm. though, i must admit, it probably has many great features and a lot better engine under the hood, it still feels sort of... wrong. the butt-ugly grunge header does not fit with the elegant shine of the other elements on the page and the layout feels sort of diffused and loose. maybe i'm just dissapointed to feel lost and unable to find the elements that made me fall for the site in the first place. i just hope i'll adapt to these changes soon
