There's a new Billie The Vision and the Dancers album out. Yay!!
But you've got to pay for it. Boo!! Actually noBoo because they've already given us three fantastic albums for the princely sum of £0.00 Summercat if you're not sure where to start with them.
My friend has been kind enough to help me get into Hüsker Dü by sending me Zen Arcade. It's soooo good! I unconciously avoided this band for ages for some reason. I don't know why - maybe it's the name (??). Still I'm at the party now and even though most people have already gone the music's still great!
Johnny Foreigner need to be included in this journal entry for being stupidly catchy and brilliant. Stop off at Champagne Girls I Have Known for a good insight into their sound. Up tempo drinkinghappyrock I'll call it, which is probably why I'm not a cnutty music journo.
My aim is true.
You should probably also listen to Cat Power too. Go on.
I haven't had much time for rooting about in the musical undergrowth lately what with working and playing on my shiny new Wii, but I have spent some time with The Raconteurs lately. Their new album - Consolers of the Lonely is excellent and a real improvement on the first record which started out strong and then died on it's arse.
Now there's a good word to finish on.

If you thought the Johnny Foreigner EP was good, the album is even better The last.fm beta live-stats-on-profiles-thingy thing is telling me that over the last seven days I've listened to it 427 times... Excessive? Me? nah. (Frank Turner is next, with a paltry 42 plays)

Oooh Warehouse: Soungs and Stories is a good one. Productions a bit crap but it's pure songwriting goodness. Give me a shout if you want it. Also check out White Denim 's recent debut album for some excellent psychedelic garage rock. Again just give me a yell if your interested.
