    ahh... please excuse my ignorance <_<. As for quality ambient, one album really has stood out to me, Between Interval - Autumn Continent. Its just brilliant and unique, very warm, sometimes dark, yet blissful in a non cheesy way. Autumn continent is the perfect name for the album. As for trance, the new 00.db album "Angels & Demons" is superb. Another great trance release is Michael & Levan and Stiven Rivic - Twilight, I recomend the original, Domased Electronica, and VenUs Platinum mixes. Very nice unique tunes.

    Jetlag Digital (Label DJ Taucher releases on), Contrast Recordings (Check out Moshic). Pretty much everything on Mistiquemusic is worth checking out. I probobly buy 1/3 of their complete singles and pick and choose tracks from the rest.

    Michael & Levan and Stiven Rivic – Cyacya [Mistiquemusic] is a great recent prog house release.... That label is pretty much golden. Also if you like quality ambient the new Carbon Based Lifeforms CD was just released by Ultimae, quality stuff...

    Most other stuff are copycat "fad" producers who are not really inovative. No one really produces uplifting trance in the sense that Activa does now, and Ayla did, to be quite honest. If you are looking for some quality tracks, check out "Kamaya Painters". All 3 of their EP's are amazing examples of everything trance can be. Its a group including Tiesto and Benno De Goeij of Rank 1, back when they were making innovative fresh music.

    Yeah, Nirwana is a really good album to say the least. As for Activa, back in the day trance producers did not use 3 minute long buildups and breakdowns and generic repetative loops for the rest of their songs, it was constant beats, and in the case of progressive trance, elements were woven in and out of the main beat/bass/melody. Activa sticks to more of an old school production style in that sense, which is one of the reasons I like him so much. Yep, I work full time doing various programming for embedded linux systems among other things :), trance is one of my favorite styles of music while coding.

    Ahh you want trance recomendations eh? I see you have discovered Solar Fields - Earthshine and Arksun - Arisen... you are on the right path :D. Check out the CD Nirwana by Ayla. Its not available for purchase anymore anywhere, so just torrent it. Its old school ambient trance... really good stuff. A great uplifting trance cd is Activa - This Word. Generally I don't like uplifting trance because most of it is generic copycat stuff these days, but Activa really stands out!
