Hello mate. I'm doing really well. You? Blimey, Killing Joke eh? Well, their sound is hard to pin down and has certainly changed over the years. Earlier stuff leaning on new wave (ish) just a little whereas their later years are filled with much heavier industrial/noise. I love it all. ALL OF IT. Here's what I did. I started with their 1985 Night Time album. You've probably already heard Love Like Blood from that album and just didn't know it was them. Then go for 1996's Pandemonium to get a little taste of what their later stuff would evolve into. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do!!!!

The first time (2003) we drove from Sydney up the coast to Brisbane [and Fraser Island :)P]. Then flew to Cairns to go scuba diving, afterwords flew to Alice Springs (Uluru, Rainbow Valley, Kings Canyon,...), then flew to Adelaide and drove via Melbourne back to Sydney. The second time (2005) we landed in Perth ;) (and went to Cape Leeuwin, Rottnest Island and Wave Rock) and drove all the way up to Darwin (passing all the sights along the way - Monkey Mia, Ningaloo Reef, Karijini, Broome, Katherine,...). Not via a travel agent, I planned it all by myself:) Next time I would like to drive from Adelaide to Darwin straight acrosss and go see Tasmania and New Zealand. I listened to some samples of Karnivool here on last.fm and it sounds a bit like Tool. And I love Tool :Y

I got hold of the album, but so far I also only like this song. The rest is very industrial and a bit bland.

Whoa, you listened to A LOT of Bat for Lashes lately. So I recommended her to you without checking her out myself really. :D

Shallow then Halo also one of the few gothy songs in 3/4 rhythm - very cool. (Pulled to Bits by Siouxsie is another one, off the top of my head). In terms of new music - did I go on and on and on about Yeasayer to you, about a year ago? Their second album is due in a few months - first one is a gem.

I've been addicted to Blue Bell Knoll lately. Haven't gotten much new music lately... (btw, agreed with your friend below --- Shallow then Halo was actually the first CT track I ever heard, and still one of my favorites.)

Sobre mim

DJd professionally before studying psychology
to make sense of it all
.
life without music is a contradiction.

Today I don't need a replacement
I'll tell them what the smile on my face meant
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" I said "You can keep my things,
They've come to take me home".
