it's not all that different here. We only have 3 years of high school as opposed to 4, but the normal age to get into college is still 18. I still have my last year of school in 2010, and then, if I pass the exams on 1st try, I'll be 17 when I get in - but that's because I skipped a year as a kid when I was in pre-school. I wouldn't say our education system in advanced LOL. Basically up until high school, public schools are absolutely horrible and private ones are much better most of the time. Then in college it's inverted, cause the public ones are the best (and hardest to get into) by far. We seriously lack investment in the education area though, it's kinda sad XD Sunrise is criminally catchy and the lyrics are pretty cute, I love it. As for the new single, I'm quite addicted to You were... right now, watching the PV a lot lol! it's not very original but SO PRETTY<3 and I haven't listened to the BALLAD preview yet but I heard it's traditional-chinese-like, so I'm excited! :D

But I'm not sure what next year will be like for me since it's time for college entrance exams, and everyone says you have to study like hell... it doesn't seem to be quite like that to me though, so I'm not that worried. I'm glad high school will soon be over though. I have lots of free time, but it's all so boring/annoying/whatever. Hopefully college will be better XD As for Ayu, I was quite disappointed in NEXT LEVEL when it came out and around the same time I got a bit sick of AHS so I was kind of out of the loop, though I still checked from time to time to see what was going on. A while ago though, I gave Sunrise another listen and got pretty addicted to it lol (I kind of ignored it after downloading the single ^^;) And now AT09 TV-version leaked, and watching it made me appreciate NL a LOT more. I loved the tour a lot. It's a shame that her voice sounds really kinda choppy though.

the trip to Japan was great, though short XD I think going to Nara was the most memorable thing. not only the deers were adorable, but my friend and I were approached there by a group of students from Tokyo who were interviewing foreigners for school (english class, maybe?). At one point they asked us if we knew any famous japanese people, but I got shy and couldn't say anything. but my friend said "hey, you like that... what's her name... ayu?" and one of the students was an Ayu fan! she was like "...Hamasaki Ayumi!?" and we high-fived XD that was sooo cool. well, after that, winter vacation started... but it was pretty uneventful. now my summer holidays just started. I'm so glad they did, school was getting on my nerves... now I'm free for 2 months :D I'm sure it'll be kinda boring though LOL. and you, how have you been doing?

You must really like GLAY! ^^ I just started listening to them for real this year, so the two GREAT VACATION volumes were "great" albums since I could listen to all their singles and new songs at the same time. I actually knew them since their second single 真夏の扉 since it was featured as the Yamato Takeru anime opening song back in the early 90's o_O I'm more of a L'Arc fan myself XD GLAY has so many songs, even more than L'Arc~en~Ciel.
