I first heard about Röyksopp in high school from my friend Wiher, who at that time collected quite a bit of Scandinavian music. I really liked the Melody A.M. album, especially the famous Remind Me remix with the cool music video, and Poor Leno (as well as the video for this one - absolutely adorable).

My other friend, JoNNy (who also introduced me to last.fm) introduced me to Röyksopp's new album - The Understanding - only this year. I absolutely fell in love with it! The music is a little more delicate than the previous album and it's more ear-catching. When I heard What else is there, I couldn't stop listening! It's melody, and the amazing vocal (almost sounding like Björk, but actually being Karin Dreijer Andersson from The Knife) just made me feel like I'm flying over vast mountains… call me crazy, but it's just how that music works on me :-) But I had to make more room on the playlist for Alpha Male, 49 Percent, Beautiful day without you, Only This Moment (fantastic!), Circuit Breaker… the whole album is great! Röyksopp did a marvelous job making it! I consider it one of the best music production ever made! Perfect for relaxing, work, driving, you name it! I would even call it a perfect album.
