yeah, i agree with you... many times, it's quite boring... in reality, there is an almost infinit variety os stiles of music here in Brazil but it all depends, just as you said, on where you live - about the samba, well, the samba of nowadays doesn't really attract me at all. many of it's variations are so so bad i don't even wanna know tha name of the bands, although, unfortunately, i already listened to them. but i'm going to recommend the samba that i like, which is not the most famous in Brazil but is quite common here ;)

yeah, i agree with you that's is quite nice here :) - but the problem is that theres an awful lot of shows with "samba" and some other quite famous rhythms here that, the way they are played today, doesn't really attract me - except what we call here the "frevo" (but this is only played in the "carnaval", which only happens once a year...) - and the bossa music (that i really enjoy), at least in the region in which i live, it's no so popular as it was in the past, i think ... :( - so, all the jazz and funk that i like doesn't really exist here, except in some rare places and/or rare occasions, although the people that attend them has an excellent taste in music ;)
